Site Down....until when?

Has anyone out there heard how much longer the Disney website will be down? I have been trying to do our online check in for 2 days now and am unable to do it. Would like to get that done and off my mind!

The site says this evening...so probably around 8ish I would hope

I'm hoping soon, we need to change our reservation dates and I just want to get it done!!!

Its finally up, although I see no new discounts.

Here is what is posted on the site:

"Resort Reservations and Dining Reservations are unavailable as we are updating our systems. We apologize for any inconvenience and expect to return to full functionality by sometime on December 5, 2012. If you would like to purchase Theme Park tickets, you may use the form above."

I think it must be spotty as they test the new software and make it operational if you get in to make reservations or changes.

Maybe they are updating their system to take a FLOOD of calls that will come in when they release their next discounts!

One thing to mention about the outage of 12/3-12/4 . . .

I was checking into the BWV on the 4th. I did online check in at the 10 day point and put my credit card number in at that time. They seemed to be really glad that I did that because they couldn't input any information at the time I checked in. They were having to write everything up on some sort of form to be entered later, including the cc information. It also made it easier when I went back to get my real resort ID later (they gave out key only cards at check in because they couldn't make the real IDs with the system down). For those of you (including myself) who are really squeamish about having your cc number just floating around, I was very glad I had already put in my info so they didn't need to fill out that part of the form.

So if you ever see an announcement of a system outage that coincides with your check in day, it is a good idea to do the online check in well in advance.
