We are expecting our second child in early April next year and I want a stroller for both my kids but the double strollers look a little too bulky for my taste. My son will be 3 by the time the baby is born and my husband and I were looking at the sit n' stand strollers, the two I found were by Joovy and Baby Trend. I am leaning towards the Joovy one because it says it can hold up to 90 pounds, while the Baby Trend only holds up to 80. I am also thinking ahead because we will take the kids to WDW when the baby will be 2 and my son will be 5. I am just looking for anyone's thoughts and experiences with these kind of strollers. Thanks!!!!

I have the Joovy and love it. I think the only difference in the Joovy and Baby Trend (other than the weight limit) is that the Joovy does not come with a parent tray. That doesn't matter to me b/c I just bought a cup holder/snack attachment and I was good to go. We went to Disney in May and my kids were 5 - almost 6 and 2.5 years old. It was great and I have never had a problem with steering or anything. The combined weight with both kids is 75 lbs. (A couple of times while at the mall with a friend, I have let her DD jump on the stroller to and that added another 45 lbs. easy! So I have had 120 lbs. on it and I still don't think the strolling was bad -- even turning it!

We love our Joovy. We bought ours before our trip to WDW in March. It will also be coming with us next month. This is what we experienced. Last time, we eventually rented a stroller down there b/c DS keep falling asleep. There is only 1 strap that goes across the back and he would always hang over the strap. It looked like he was going to fall off of it. He does not like the belt around him. So we took the strap off of the camera and put it below the other one just to make sure he did not fall off. We will still rent DS a single stroller at the parks so he can have shade and a place to sleep if he gets tired or just needs a break. DS loves to stand up on it and look around. He climbs in and off we go. It works really great for trips to the mall and other stores (just not grocery shopping since I buy to much food).

When DD is asleep in her car seat, I can just snap on the attachment for it instead of waking her up. She is 9 months and I still do it when she sleeps. Other wise when she is up I use the tray. I'll attach a toy and she plays with it and looks around.

We looked at getting one from Target (it might be the other one you were talking about). Although the basket was bigger, the seat (does not move like the Joovy) is in the way to take stuff in and out. (if that makes since). I played around with them in the store folding and unfolding them, putting the kids in and pushing it. If I had it to do again I would still get the Joovy. I wanted the all black one, but our Babies R Us only carries the red and black one. Online they have both, but we waited to late to order it. Hope this helps. Congratulations on the baby.

We have the Joovy for our 4 and 1 yr old.
It works great for us.

A friend of mine got the new Fisher Price Active Gear Stand-n-Ride Duo Stroller.
And its pretty cool.

The seat for the older child looked nicer than the one on ours, this seat belt looked easy to access etc.

This wasn't on the market when we bought ours, but it certainly would be something I would have considered.
I will admit it seems a bit hard to find. I don't know why.

We have the Joovy one also. The Baby Trend didn't seem as sturdy. My 2 year old daughter sits in the front and my 3 and 5 year old take turns in the back or my 3 year old sits and my 5 year old stands on the foot thing if we need to get somewhere fast. Seems to hold them all pretty well.

I have a Joovy too. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner since my youngest was about 6 months old when we got it & pretty much I didn't need to keep her in the car seat anymore.

My older 2 sit & stand at the same time while the baby is up front.

Heck my almost 4 & 6 yo like to have a turn in the front too which is good because my 18 month old likes the back now.

It folds easily & opens easily too.

I did see someone with this cup holder/holder that was an after market thing made my Joovy about a month ago.

Thanks, OP, for starting this thread. I've been considering one of these strollers as well. I do have a question for those of you who own one...are they too bulky to fold up and take on the busses?

Sounds like the Joovy is more popular, that's the one DH and I are leaning towards, one more question, I have a Graco Snugride baby seat, will that fit in the front seat for the baby?? Thanks for all the reviews so far!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

We also have the Joovy and love it. I would also suggest the neoprene parent thing that you can attach. It just gives you more places to stick stuff and at Disney that is def a good thing. We used ours all the time at WDW and loved it for DTD and Blizzard Beach- but rented a stroller at the park for the nap factor and shade as well.

We have the Joovy Big Caboose (2 seats and 1 sit and stand platform/seat on the back) so essentially a triple stroller lol.. I hate it lol.. but it may be because its HUGE because its a triple. Anyways, my biggest complaint with a sit and stand is that if you end up with extremely tired kids.. 1 isnt able to sleep.. kwim? and in Disney they tire out fast lolol.. We have a 4 yr old, 2 yr old, and 1 yr old, and Im due in Jan. I just bought 2 double strollers today (Graco Quattro Tour Duo!!) for Disney because my 4 yr old will get tired too lol.. They are really small compared to other doubles and are much easier to push around than my Graco Duoglider or Peg double or my Jeep double

I just bought the Joovy for my 2 nephews for our trip next month to WDW one is 6 the other1 both love it at target the baby trend was not set up and they told us if we couldn't get back in the box after we tried it out too bad we'd have to buy it so we went to babies r us the 1yr old liked it we put both boys on and could steer we plan on switching off on the pushing as there are 5 adults going 38 more days :yay:

Our last trip we had an almost one year old and a 4 year old and as bulky as the double stroller was it came in handy!!! Both ended up needing to recline back and would fall asleep as we were leavig the parks and both needed the little trays to snack along the way. Plus it was easy to find in the world of strollers out there!! lol....best wishes on the right decision foryour family.

I did not see the Joovy when I was looking for one. I bought a baby trend one from target. It is still in the box for a few more weeks.

I know Babies R Us carries the Joovy- I think only in red. The orange is on-line, and so is the black. Has anybody tried the new "ultra" version that is supposedly lighter? I have a friend who is expecting in March and wondered if that one is worth the extra cost.

Just an FYI, the seat on the Joovy is press board/cardboard so make sure it never gets wet or it will become unstable, disintegrate...how ever you want to word it. Im having a hard time with those 5cent words :rotfl2: My brain is starved for sleep!

Check out the baby planet unity stroller or the maclaren twin techno. For a little more you get a stroller that holds upwards of 110#, folds like an umbrella and manneuvers the crowds.

My 3 yr old and 8 month old love the joovy! It is so easy to fold and stroll. Congrata on baby #2!
