My boys will be 4 and 5 next time we go to WDW. Our tandem stroller just was hard for my DH to steer, and getting them in and out became brutal on our backs. But I discovered this type of stroller that allos one child to be belted in the front, then the older child stands in the back on a platform. A small seat is available if they wish to sit and it faces the "driver"

Has anyone had any luck with these?

Do they work well?

I just thought my older son would like standing (he is always begging to stand on the end of the cart at the grocery.) and being able to hop out when we stop. Also they are cheaper than a strict double stroller, and this will be my last stroller!:worried:

I bought the Joovy Caboose Sit and Stand for our trip in November 2006. My son was 2.5 and daughter 6. Althought my daughter is normally too big for a stroller, I know she gets worn out a Disney and it was just me and the 2 kids while DD was at home so I wanted to have a stroller when she got tired. This stroller was great for the two of them. It was lightweight and when DD was tired I could put DS in front and let her get on the back. She walked a lot so DS would ride in the back and easy to get on and off. I loved it at the airport. I had DD walk, put my carry-on on the front seat and DS would ride in the back. Then I gate checked the stroller. It was nice to have it through the airport. It was pretty light-weight and I was able to manage it on the buses with the two of them. I took it again on a trip this June and once in awhile DD would use it when it got late and she was just really tired. We are pushing the weight limit with the two of them now and it's getting a bit hard to push both, but she's not on it much so worth it for when she is tired. The only complaint I have with the Joovy is that the front seat does not recline. A few times the little guy wanted to nap in the stroller and would fall asleep in the front seat and it would have been great if I could recline him while DD and I walked through the parks. I don't think is was a super cheap purchase - about $150 but has been worth the money spent to me. Will prob take it one last trip this fall.

Have fun!

I would definately be concerned about the weight limit of the stroller. With most strollers, once you reach that weight limit they are very hard to push. More frustrating than helpful at that point. We have Maclarens and I have noticed that you can definately go above the weight limit with them. My DD8 still can ride in our Volo (55 pound weight limit) and it feels like she is not in it at all.

I have the Joovy Caboose stroller as well and I love it! However, my children are 5 (40 lbs) and 2.5 (33 lbs.). I'm not sure how much children weigh but I would definitely take the kids to a store that has one put together and test drive it around the store. If your kids weigh more than mine, it will probably be difficult to push b/c of the weight.

I wouldn't suggest the sit 'n stand for kids of this age. I think you wouldn't be able to steer/maneuver it at all. I used mine at malls and events for a just turned 4 year old (on the boogie board platform) and an infant in the front which works OK but as the baby grew and the child on back grew... forget it. Plus the seat in front is not big at all and the seat in back is a tiny bench seat.
