Sit and Stand Strollers - I need recommendations / opinions

I also hated my joovy sit-n-stand. My kids liked it though and fought over the back seat once DD could walk! The front was very uncomfortable for a napper - the recline is ok once they are past the infant stage but it doesn't have "wings" to rest their head on. Also, when reclined, there isn't room for the older one to really sit in the back. This stroller is so hard to push with my kids (total of 70 lbs) on it and we are not tiny/weak people. Maybe the reason I say this is because our other double stroller is a jogging stroller and that thing I can push with 1 finger with both my kids in it! We also have a peg perego pliko p3 and our son rides on the footpegs of it and it pushes and steers great! I can't imagine not having a place for our older child to rest though for disney. We do tend to stay in the parks until late and our kids sleep in the stroller so if that isn't you, maybe it isn't as bad. The good thing about the joovy is that it is compact whereas the babytrend one is pretty long. I think we'll take 2 umbrella (maclaren's or our peg and maclaren) for our trip when DS will be almost 5 and DD 2 or I would consider a Maclaren or similar type higher weight limit double if I could find a decent deal on one or borrow one. The ultralight joovy does sound better but it's pretty pricey.

we also have the joovy caboose for our 5 yr old and 2 yr old. I LOVED it in disney , the only complaint I have is that when both kids would get tired and grumpy they would put thier heads back and bump each other's heads which led to screaming matches. Although I have 2 very tall children so you might not have that problem.

:lmao: OMG....We had the same problem with bumping heads and screaming matches....

We have taken this same stroller to Disney twice and to a few local parks...We loved it for the purpose...It gets the bigger kid off his feet and the smaller guys gets to rest and have a snack in front of him while he was waiting for his big brother to get off a ride he was too small for...I agree at the basket is a pain to get to if both kids are in it but the basket is large...I bought some stoller hooks to hang bags on (which has worked great)...I miss the parent tray and cup holders...We did buy a cup holder for it but it broke when I hit it into a door that I was trying to enter (I did not replace it)...

We will not be taking it again because our kids are getting to heavy for it now...They are 3 1/2 and 43 lbs and 5 1/2 and 50 pounds...We brought it to the Bronz Zoo last week and had a bit of trouble pushing it up hills and turning...We also found that it was tipping to the side the boys were looking at....

We will rent the double stroller the next time we are in Disney... I hate that it will be so much money:eek:

But it did work for almost two and half years in stores, parks, and other places... I would recommend it :thumbsup2

I took the Baby Trend to WDW in 2006 and wish too that there was something that my ds could sit in ,he is 8 now. It was great , but very heavy and when we got tired it was a bummer. But, if you want to push both kids at the same time, it is the only way to go. Wish I had better advice, good luck!
