Sisterhood of the Traveling Sausage! Update 10/12 Final Meal!

Le Cellier looks just as good as I remember :goodvibes: and you got my favourite entree. I love the look of your breakfast too but not sure about the potatoes on your sister's breakfast :(

I'm glad you had such a great meal at Le Cellier - it looks delicious! (And I LOVE the bonus Aaron Rodgers!) :goodvibes

Lactaid works better if you take it just before you start to eat or drink dairy. Also, I always use extra strength just in case my portion is a little too large. I still have to limit how often I have dairy, usually a couple of times a day is okay but not every meal. Looking forward to the rest of your report.

I love the reviews so far and I am looking forward to the rest!

I think it is so great that you and your sister vacation together each year. My two sisters and I try to take our mom somewhere each year, and we always enjoy being with each other, no matter where we go! I hope we can continue the tradition of sister trips forever! :hippie:

love your writing style - hilarious! Great start and looking forward to more. hope you don't mind if i use hangry - describes the men in my family to a tee- i do need a word for tired and hungry - got anything?- cause that is even worse at my house!:lmao:

Hahah as soon as I saw Aaron Rodgers I knew someone had to be from Wisconsin and then I realized it was you! We are big Packers fans in those house so I liked the pic of him!

I ended up having the potatoes later in the week and they were ok, not great but ok. It seems like the entire hallway leading to Roaring Fork smelled of these potatoes all the time!

Our meal at LC was soooo yummy! I can't wait to go back! I'm also glad that football season is starting up again so I can see some more of Aaron Rodgers! Not sure about that weird moustache thing he's got going on now though.

Thanks for the tip. Perhaps I should start taking it a little earlier. The directions say that you should take it when you start eating the dairy product so that's what I've been doing. I usually wash down a pill with a swig of milk! I do pretty well with cheese but milk and ice cream are the enemy which is sad because I love them so much!

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: Hilarious sausage story!! I love the pic of it on the view! :rotfl2:
You should see the faces of people around me when I start taking pictures of the sausage! They look so confused!

I really love spending time with my sister. We travel well together for the most part with a few hangry argument here and there but we have a lot of fun. Your trips with your mom sound fun too. Our mom isn't much of a traveler so we have to go to her!

Hmmm...I'm having trouble thinking of a good tired/hungry word. I'll have to think about that! Thank you for joining in!

Signing on, gotta love the traveling sausage!
Thanks for reading! I've got some more sausage photos coming up as well!

It's me!! That is one great photo of Aaron Rodgers and Mickey Mouse. Two great men!:lmao: Thanks for checking out my dining review!

Tonight we were going to try an amazing feat - drinking around the World. Well, after eating the amazing meal at Le Cellier we were full for quite a while. I think we may have even gotten a nap in back at our room. We went back to Epcot and went directly to Mexico where we had this

An avocado margarita!

When I've seen other photos of this drink, I don't recall that the glass was this big! It was huge and it was a lot to drink but at least my sister and I had planned to split the drinks. When I took my first sip I remember thinking that I was unsure about this drink. It wasn't bad but it just had a different flavor. After a horrible experience in college one night that involved tequila, I kind of shy away from it anyway so I thought it might just be the tequila taste. But the more I drank, the more I came to enjoy it! My sister loved it. We promptly sucked it down.

Our first fail is that we bypassed Norway and we didn't have a drink there at all. We moved on to China where we decided that we might be ready for a snack as we hadn't eaten dinner. Along with our Peach Snap, we had a pork bun.

Last year I went to Hawaii with my cousin Paula (my sister just isn't interested in Hawaii and I love it)! While we were there, we went on a food tour which was amazing and it would score 3 sausages as well as the bonus Aaron Rodgers. I tried something called a Manapua which was a sweet flavored bun filled with the most tender, wonderful pork! I think I thought that this pork bun would be similar but it was not even close. The bread was good but the pork was nasty and we ended up taking a few bites and threw it out. a waste of a snack credit. I loved the Peach Snap but my sister did not. I drank at least half of this by myself.

Another fail in Germany as we didn't have a drink there either. We are not succeeding at this at all! But we did have

Caramel Corn at the Karamell Kuche

This was not your average caramel corn with a slight caramel flavor glaze. This was popcorn covered in real caramel! I thought it was fantastic and almost bordered on being chewy which is a good thing! My sister did not like this so I gladly ate as much as I could and took the rest back to the room. It was one snack credit.

My sister got these two lovely items and we also took them back to the room

They are a peanut butter caramel and a milk chocolate sea salt caramel. I did not taste them but she said they were delicious.

The next stop was Italy! I'd read about the the Rosa Regale here on the boards so I decided to try it.

I thought this was amazing! My sister didn't like this either but I gladly drank this by myself! It is a sweet sparkling red and I've decided that I have to try to find this here in Wisconsin.

We had nothing in the American Adventure, nothing in Japan and nothing in Morocco. Fail. Fail. Fail. And we moved on to France. First we went to the Boulangerie Patisserie and we each got a Sacristain for breakfast.

These were really good and they did not last until breakfast! I think we started in on them as soon as we got back to the room! They were flaky with a glaze and at first I thought they contained raisins but it was even better because they were actually chocolate chips!

Then we moved over to the drink kiosk where we got a Grey Goose Slush

Fabulous! I'd read a lot about these here on the DIS and it lived up to it's reputation. I think I would have enjoyed it a little more if I hadn't been stuffing in a whole world (ok, probably about half of the world) of drinks! If you like citrus flavor and a nice vodka, you will love this!

Our last stop was the UK (because we we skipped Canada too after this). I really wanted to get a Strongbow Cider but we ended up just getting some chips. After no dinner and the less than stellar pork bun we needed something to eat.

These were hot, yummy, fried goodness. We used a snack credit on this and we split them. They were gone in a flash.

And that concludes our night of drinking around the world. Next up is our Magic Kingdom day where I'll tell you a little bit about the Keys to the Kingdom tour which included lunch at Columbia Harbour House, and then our dinner at Ohana. I believe the sausage might make an appearance as well!

OMG, I love your theming idea with "Sausage" . . . . . a very imaginative idea !

Wow I thought the Sacristain had raisins in in too. Now that know it's actually chocolate chips I really wanna try one! Thanks for that little tidbit :thumbsup2

I loved my avocado margarita and those grey goose lemon slushes are delish! I wish I had one right now!

I also have a secret. Shhh...come closer so I can tell you and you must promise never to tell anyone else on the DISboards. I didn't hate the bacon. Yes, it is paper thin but I didn't mind it! Ok, now that you have been sworn to secrecy I can move on.

What happens in Roaring Forks stays in Roaring Forks

Yay on drinking and eating around the world! :cool1: Sound like you guys had plenty of fun.

Looking forward to visiting Karamelle Kuche!

I love drinking around the world. Unfortunately, I don't have designated driver (DH) this time and responsible for DS 8. I'll just have to wait next trip to do that. :sad2:

Loving the report!

Kae
Thanks - it was a lot of fun but I had the worst time trying to remember to take photos!

Thanks - the sausage is a natural! Very photogenic.

I'm craving that margarita now that I'm back. I wish I knew somewhere else that made them! I always thought there were raisins in the sacristain as well and I never thought I'd get one. But then when I saw it up close I realized that it was chocolate and that changed my mind immediately. I had wanted a chocolate croissant but when I saw that I knew I had to have one!

Rosa Regale is the best!!! I love it!!!:lovestruc:cloud9::love:
Maybe I'll try the slush, looks refreshing! :goodvibes
I would definitely give it a shot! I'm excited to go back to Disney in January just so I can have another Rosa Regale (even if I find it around here I'm still going to have some there!).

That is a good rule!

You will love Karamell Kuche. I just wish I had more room in my stomach. I wish I'd gotten a few more things to take home with me as well!
