Sister Wives

It seems to me that Kody is trying to poison the waters for Christine's dating prospects. Too bad it's not going to work! Most decent guys will see her as a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants, and Kody as an egotistical jerk who didn't deserve her. I hope she finds a great guy who makes her happy and frequently posts about her new life so Kody can follow along!
Kody forgets this has all been on tape for everyone to see.

Were any of the marriages arranged marriages?

It sounded as if Kody and Meri's might have been. And with Christine being of 'polyg royalty' I wondered if that one was, too.

The statement that Robyn made about the wives handing Kody to her, that they didn’t want to spend time with him, rang untrue to me. I’m sure Meri would never turn Kody away, she still obviously would reconcile with him in a heartbeat. And Christine was all about getting more time with Kody, not less. The only wife whom I think was happy on her own was Janelle.

Does anyone know how many parts of the Tell All will air? They seem to be painfully stretching it out. Janelle is coming out as the most reasonable in all of these. I like how she states what she thinks without attacking, decomposing, or drinking the Kook Aid anymore. Watching her enjoy the past memories and accepting them as good in her life, seemed healthy to me.

Not sure if that is a typo, but it’s so accurate lol

I'm wondering if Kody will every answer the question that he refused to answer. It doesn't seem right that he is allowed to refuse to answer a direct question. I'm hoping it comes back up in the final episode.

That statement was borderline delusional.

I will say after watching Part 2 of the tell all that I am starting to lean into the idea that maybe Robin herself isn't so much the issue. I'm sure she does some passive aggressive things to Kody but I truly am starting to believe the only problem is Kody. He obviously favors Robin and maybe she is the only one he truly loves. Maybe he didn't even know what love was until Robin so that is why he favors her so much and why he is re-writing history that he never loved Christine.

At the end of the day he is the one that needed to make the marriage work with each of these women. He is the one who has failed in these marriages. He really needs to face this fact but he won't since it shows that he is the problem and he just wants to blame everyone else.

It is clear that in the beginning of the show he was trying more but over the years he just gives up and focuses only on Robin using the excuse that she has the younger kids that need him more. I'm sure if Christine or Janelle or Meri had the youngest kids he would use some other excuse. He really is pathetic that he can't just own up to his mistakes and make it clear that he was wrong.

Solomon isn’t that much older than Truely. And Sol is within a year of how old Aspyn was when she was putting younger siblings to bed at night.

This is about Kody’s narcissism. Robyn and her kids fawn over him and don’t push back. Kody’s love is conditional and only Robyn and her crew meet the conditions.

“Solomon isn’t that much older than Truely. And Sol is within a year of how old Aspyn was when she was putting younger siblings to bed at night.”

I believe Truely is older than Solomon. Not a big difference, though. I think Truely is 12 and Solomon Is 11.

He is. Sorry I stated that wrong. But my point is they aren’t that far apart in age and Kody approaches them differently.

I don't know if I have said this before or not but I recall at the begining of the show, when Robyn and Kody were courting, Robyn made some comment along the lines of how she likes to see that Kody had long term marriages. I think Kody and Meri had been married about 20 years at that point. That it was encouraging to her that he could sustain relationships for that length of time.

Oof. That didn't ring true after all.

After watching Part 2 last night, I had my adult son watch episode 1 with me and then the episode where Cody and Christine went to Galveston, TX for their anniversary / therapy weekend.

It was so painful to see how dismissive Cody has been for so long. Christine has been unhappy for years and has told him repeatedly. He did not / does not care and does not see his wives as individuals with needs beyond the family unit.

Christine was there to be the group’s social director and resident domestic, nothing more.

Once this show finally stops airing new episodes, I bet Kody comes out with lots of criticism about how he was portrayed. I bet he thinks that he would be more understood and admired if he could have told his version of the story without their editing. They way he always seems to be in a defensive mode, not just explaining or dissecting something, he appears to always be trying to push his vision of their lives.

But as long as they are paying the bills, he won’t say anything.

Also, I’m soooo tired of Kody complaining how the other wives disrespected/dissed Robyn. Why didn’t he say something when it happened? In any decent or normal relationship, partners openly discuss problems and don’t sweep them under the rug. Yes, I know he doesn’t have a normal relationship with any of them but by openly saying these things, he is opening himself up to criticism for not being a responsible adult to help solve the problem. Every time he brings it up, I want to yell at the TV that he had a chance to help but he didn’t.

Just my thoughts.

Hopefully no woman will be stupid enough to marry the loser.

This was some years ago but I remember during one episode when they lived in Las Vegas that Meri said random women would come up to them in public and say they wanted to join the family and be another sister wife.

Heck, there are women out there who start dating and marry death row inmates.

People are strange.
