Between the surgery and the college move, it's pretty clear he doesn't want to be involved in certain kids' lives. I feel so bad for Ysabel. Happy for her she's clear across the country from the mess now. It will be so good for her mental health.

So true. It's like once his kids get beyond a certain age, he thinks his job is done with them and they're on their own. It really reminds me of how fundamentalist Mormans take the majority of the 14 year old boys out into the world and just set them out on the side of the road to fend for themselves AKA "The Lost Boys". You can tell Kody has no use for an older child at all. It's bizarre the lack of bond he seems to have with his children. The longer this show goes on, the more telling it becomes and it shows the mentality of their belief that the more wives you have, the bigger the blessings you receive in Heaven, and the whole, "it's our responsibility to empty out all of the pre-destined souls from Heaven before the Lord will come back". Where is the love in all of this? The only reason Kody seems to want Christine to stay is to collect on those rewards in the afterlife.

It's not even so much that the kids age out with Kody. I think it's that as they age, they push back more. They question him. They see him for what he is. And he doesn't handle criticism or pushback at ALL. He seems like a "one strike and you're out" person. And teens push back. Kody lives to be idolized. And little kids often idolize their parents.

Notice that he hasn't turned on Robyn's kids yet. And her older 3 are what, 19 and up? But I bet they don't question or push back.

It's all just disgusting.

Rumour is that Logan’s wedding is this weekend in Phoenix. His in-laws live in Phoenix so nothing to do with family in Flagstaff.

Logan is the oldest son and he did a great job of removing himself from this public spectacle the family has become, as soon as he turned 18. We've rarely seen so much as a glimpse of him since then - I wish him well.

Also rumoured that Meri was not at the wedding as she was posting on social media from other location yesterday.

That preview! Holy cow! Meri...wake up!!! He said you can marry someone else!!! Then Meri wants to be mad because Christine is "leaving the family"! First of all, if the catfish really had been a man, she wouldn't have left with him? Also, they are not a functioning family. Anyone that wants to continue a relationship with Christine probably can (other wives, children, whoever). It doesn't look like Meri and Christine have a relationship anyway, so why does Meri care? Is she jealous that Christine stood up and said "this doesn't work for me, I'm out!" Between the B&B and all the traveling she appears to do as seen on her social media, it's not like she's active in the family or around very much.
I just don't understand how he seems to throw away adult children if they don't "fall in line". They are still your kids. He is proving he can have good relationships with adult children because he has that with Robyn's adult children. The difference is they do whatever he wants them to. I wonder what the future holds for Aurora and Brianna. Will they find some independence and if so how will Cody treat them?

kody learns and uses a new term (repeatedly)- 'gas lighted'

kody knows nothing about child custody but sure thinks he does

kody's friends and kids (including truely) were aware of the problems within the marriage while kody says he was blindsided (except when he's yelling that their problems date back forever )

pray you are in no proximity to kody when he is driving because he likes to 'use the time to zone out'

It was initially reported they were toward the back, but apparently that wasn't the case (It was an outdoor venue with an unusual seating arrangement). He was indeed seated with Robyn though, which would be odd if he and Janelle were still together and attending their son's wedding.

If I was his friend, I’d be so mad at the way he officiated the wedding. You could tell he was just making it up as he went.

It really is not like Kody to accept taking a back seat in any setting. That makes what happened at the wedding noteworthy to me.
