Okay, so that's the second mention of Sangria from a box...there must be a story here...do tell.

During our Epic trip, a few of us were given sangria from a box at Hurricane Hannahs. You'd think Disney could do a tad bit better, so it kind of became a joke of sorts...

St Pete, Here We Come!!!

We had an awesome first part of the day in Epcot, but now it was time to make the 75-minute drive to St Pete...We stopped along I-4 at a Starbucks for a pick me up. I got a Very Berry Refresher and the Fruit and Cheese Bento Box. I think Joe got an iced coffee (unfortunately, I have no proof of this as I didn't take a pic of his drink)...

When we arrived in St Pete, we stopped by Joe's parent's house to say hello and to grab the keys to their condo (second home). As that's where we were staying for the rest of our vacation. We unpacked and got settled and then we went to pick Gia up from daycare. She wanted to go to Jimmy Johns for dinner and then Larry's for ice cream. So of course, that's what we did...

We dropped Gia off at her house after our evening together and spent some time with Julie and Todd. Then, Joe and I went back to his mom and dads for our dinner. Joe's mom made us pan-fried steak with a whole bunch of sides. I think Joe's aunt and uncle came over too.

August Update of Sorts...

I was FINALLY able to order new Magic Bands for Matt, Tim and myself for our August trip...You know how you could order special MB's if you were staying at a Disney resort??? It was a special promo...Well, I was able to order them for our September trip without any issues. By the time I went back to order them for our August trip, they were all sold out. Well, the other day, I decided to check to see if they had been restocked, and they had!!!! Yeah!!!!! So, here is a quick pic of what we got...

Tuesday, May 7th...Beach Day!

This morning, Joe and I slept in, threw on our suits (ok, maybe I washed my face and flat ironed my hair too) and drove over to Caddies. This is a beach bar/restaurant right on the beach, the only one like it not attached to a hotel/resort in St Pete Beach. The cabana boys will also set up chairs and an umbrella for you and all you have to do is tip them. So, we got our spot on the beach, and went up to have breakfast. I started with tea, but Joe went straight for an Irish coffee. I had French toast, but no picture to prove it. Sorry, kids.

After a great breakfast, Joe went to the bar and grabbed me a pina colada and he got a rum runner for himself. These are always so good and I order one (or two) every time I go to Caddies. We spent the rest of the day lounging on the beach, swimming and walking on the warm, white sand...If you are ever in St Pete Beach, this is a great place to have a meal, and enjoy time in the sand. We usually see dolphins too, but not this time...But, never fear, we do see them a few days later...

An afternoon storm was rolling in so, we packed up our beach stuff and headed back to the condo. We showered and got dressed because we had big dinner plans...We had reservations at Ruth's Chris. This is a must do every time we visit St Pete.

We had a table for 6 outside on the covered patio. It was a beautiful night. Joe's mom, dad, aunt, and uncle joined us too. I started with a pomegranate martini. For my entree, I had the steak sandwich with zucchini fries. I cannot tell you in words how unbelievably good this was. The steak simply melted in your mouth, it was so tender. After dinner, we walked off our meal and went into a few shops and then Joe and I went back to the condo.

What will Wednesday bring??? I will give you a clue. We pick up Gia...

This is the same gal that cut Marks hair on our last trip. She seems much friendlier in your pictures.

I received a text from @ariane37 inviting us to the Top of the World Lounge compliments of @buzzrelly. They were just coming back from an afternoon at HS and said they would meet us down at GP as soon as they had all freshened up. They, being: Ariane, Steve, Kelly, and Kari...I was soooo excited about this because I wasn't expecting to ever be able to go up to the lounge, let alone be able to view HEA from that perspective...And, we were going to get to do it with a great group of friends...

I'm so jelly.....this has been a long time dream of mine

Then we stopped at Bauernmarkt and tried the Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with black forest ham, and melted gruyere cheese. This was soooooo good and one of my favorite eats at the festival.

Oh yum you got my mouth watering.

Carry's ? in St. Pete looks awesome. I love Ruths Chris but am lucky to get it once every 7 years.

Joe went to the bar and grabbed me a pina colada and he got a rum runner for himself.

Rum runner is one of my favourite cocktails. It seems to be more of a southern or tropical drink though because I rarely see it on the menu up here and I’ve asked a for it at a few places and they didn’t know what it was.

I was only in St. Pete’s once and I was 9 years old. Would be nice to go back.
