Hi to everyone who has been here before and a warm :welcome: if you are new to the group. You all know the expression "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" Well, what happens in Disney stays in Disney...There are lots of stories to share. But, some things need to remain a secret :P...After all, there are identities to protect. And some things are just better left unsaid... Hee! Hee!

How did this trip come about you ask? Well, it all started with an invitation from @chunkymonkey to attend an Epic Girl's Trip. This invite came almost a year ago, so this adventure has been in the works for quite a while. There were about 30 of us, including a few husbands...The heart of the trip was from May 3rd to May 5th (give or take a day). My story will begin on May 1st and end on May 11th. And no, I did not spend 10 days in Disney (unfortunately). I spent 5 nights in Disney and the rest of the time in St Pete after that. It was a good thing I had the time in St Pete, as our trip was soooooooo awesome that I needed a few days to recover and relax from all the epicness...With that being said, let's get to the intro's...

Our Epic adventure begins with yours truly (Jenny) and my partner in crime, and wonderful husband, Joe.

I'm Jenny. I turn 50 this year ( I know, can you believe it) and I LOVE everything Disney. I am the Disney planner of the family and I have had the privilege of visiting WDW 45 times with 3 more trips booked this year. My favorite park is a toss up between MK and AK.

This is my husband, Joe. He supports my addiction and has come to love Disney as much as I do. His favorite park is definitely Epcot after this last vaca...But, I'd say AK is a VERY close second.

Next Up, Travel Day...

Wednesday, May the First...

Joe and I were able to sleep in this day, as our flight wasn't set to take off until around 1 pm. So, that's what we did. We set the alarm for 8 and were out the door by 9:30. We arrived at the airport, found a parking spot in the garage and shuttled it over to Midway Airport. Check in was quick and easy, and security was a breeze. We grabbed a Caprese sandwich and a bottle of apple juice to tie us over until we landed in Orlando. The flight was uneventful, and we entertained ourselves by taking a few selfies and chugging down a few alcoholic beverages...Nothing says vacation like a rum and Coke in a plastic cup on an airplane...

    Travel Day Continued...

We landed, took the fake 'O Rail to the main building, grabbed our luggage, and picked our car from the bunch (we used National).

We were finally in Florida and headed to our first resort, Pop Century. The plan was to find our room (we had received our room ready text), freshen up and head to Disney Springs for the evening. We were on the 3rd floor in the 50's section. But, before we could start our fun, we had a little bit of business to take care of...We were going to upgrade our tickets to AP's.

We went to the new ticket center next to Blaze Pizza but got sent to the Welcome Center (long story, not worth discussing). The process was quick, easy and flawless...We are now the proud owners of Annual Passes and they have already saved us a ton of money!!!! This was honestly a great decision and I can't believe it took us this long to get in on the fun...

AP's in hand, we were now free to start our evening...
