Sister Wives, anyone???

I agree with you SaraJayne. I live in a very heavily populated LDS area and many of their beliefs are hidden, even from some of their lower level members sometimes!

Do you really think that a woman is gonna come out and tell her friend or neighbor that she is valued less than her husband?

It's not just how they view women, but also minorities and women who can't have children are worthless! And I have that out of the mouth of a high ranking Bishop in the church.

What is a lower level member?

We all know that Facebook is the best place for doctrinal information on any religion. NOT!

I am truly Sorry if my "information" offended anyone, but I was only repeating what I heard FROM an LDS Bishop, (not facebook).

I agree this thread is veering off course so...........

Now returning to your regularly scheduled Sister Wives thread!

I am watching last night's episodes now. I have to say that no matter what I think about their lifestyle they do seem to be raising some really great kids with good morals and ambition and sense of responsibility. I think I absolutely adore Logan!

ITA, I adore Logan! What a great young man he really is from the first time we saw him getting breakfast for his family every morn before school to last night ice skating with all the girls. Great kid. I wish Logan would help his younger bro Hunter … maybe spend some one on one time with him because it does not appear that anyone (adults) seems to be saying the right things to make Hunter feel better. Maybe Hunter feeling so badly about everything is why Janelle also appears to be in some funk as well.

I can't imagine what kind of money they will all make working in the real estate industry … its so DEAD and especially in the Vegas area. NV has been terribly hard hit. :confused3 The things the three of them did last night (setting up for an open house) could have been done by a 18yo just out of high school.

Has anyone noticed that all the teen girls are all overweight? And it appears to me that Meri has also put some weight on. Janelle and Christine were large last season. Do you all think its the stress of the move? I never hear anyone mention exercise ever. Kody is thin because he is running from bed to bed PLUS he is just so hyper.

I thought Christine's bedroom was so nice! Robyn's was blah and we did not see Janelle or Meri's (right?) because they did not want anyone viewing their bedrooms. I loved Janelle's living room!

My husband even mentioned the weight gain this season. on all the woman , even the teenage girls . He doesn't even watch the show, just will be in room sometimes while I have it on,, but he noticed it . It has to be stress.. even Janelle and Christine have gotten heavier. I think Kody has put on a few pounds himself.. or aged a bit in the last year in his face, which is caused by the stress I imagine.

The kids are all really sweet , seem to be very loved by all parents and it is nice to see the older ones making friends. That lifestyle is not for me, but this group seems to be fairly normal, loving, kind to each other etc. It's not the worst life to have the world.

Did they own their home in Utah? What happened to it? Were they going to get arrested? I watched some episodes last year and I have been watching this season. I need to catch up.

I'm a week behind....but have to comment that I just adore Logan. I think he seems like such a sweet young man. Maybe they should think about sending Logan to move in with his grandparents because he looks pretty miserable. :sad2:

I thought they owned it. It appears they just left the house. It was not even completely cleaned out. They left allot of items in the house. I knew they said that Robyn's house in Utah was a rental but I am almost certain the Brown's owned the larger house they all lived in. They 'thought' they were going to be arrested because it appeared to them that at times people were 'stalking' their Utah home. Sitting out front in cars watching them come and go. It was upsetting to them so they all left the state.

I think you meant to say Hunter.

I also think that they should let Hunter go back...but Kody was SO not flexible when they moved. I seriously thought he was being really immature.

I remember Mariah wanted to stay back and finish her Senior year and he said no. I remember when my parents moved for work a few hours away and my sister was mid year, she actually stayed with a family friend and was younger than Mariah.

I understand keeping the family together but they also need to think of how the children will adjust.

I thought that was cruel too when Kody wouldn't let Mariah stay at her grandparents. But I guess from his perspective the whole move was so they could stay together as a family-so why let one or two stay behind?

I did think it was interesting how Robyn was the one who said she'd be disappointed if the kids didn't follow this lifestyle-she's been in it for only a short time!

I'm interested to see how it plays out -the coming attractions showed Christine saying she didn't know what she wants anymore. She seemed the most devoted at the beginning. I really feel bad for Janelle and her son. She made a big sacrifice by leaving her job and seems like she's having a struggle finding her own identity now.

As I said before...Christine was the "newer" wife so she has never had to adjust to a new wife rather than to adjust to the other wifes so she is feeling this more in my opinion.

She also said in the Andreson interview that she always wanted to be the third or fourth wife so I assume that means she always wanted to be the "last" wife.

I dont really understand why they would be dissapointed in them not following this lifestyle..I could see not following their religious belief but I thought that was more than just having multiple wives...

Robyn apparently grew up in a polygamist household. Robyn bugs the snot out of me...not sure why...but I just can't like her.

Ugh! Me, too!

I'm so impressed by the maturity of the teens. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it doesn't come from Daddy.

I feel so badly for Hunter. I hope they get him some help. He and Janelle both seem so sad.

I don't know why, but she bugs me too. I think it has to do with her always acting so frail/breakable and always playing the helpless victim stuff. It also seems like she's always trying to kiss up to everyone. I couldn't believe how completely blown out of proportion the made the whole "we might be having a miscarriage thing." Give me a fricken break; the first thing I ever learned with both of my pregnancies was that spotting was normal. I'm sure it was the producers and done for the drama, but good grief.

I'll give her a pass on the spotting. I had 2 perfectly fine pregnancies on my third I spotted about the same time she did. I got upset, I don't think they blew it out of proportion, they seemed concerned and upset. We were the same way. I knew it could be nothing, but there was also that chance that you were losing a baby. I didn't want that to happen. Lucky for us he's now in kindergarten.

Is anyone still watching??? Interesting show last night. Next week they are addressing weight issues....

I watched it this afternoon.

I figured out what it is about Robin that I don't like. It's the stupid facial expression that she makes. Logan seem a lot more mature than she does.
