Sister Wives, anyone???

Robyn is the only one pregnant. She is due within the next few weeks I believe.

I believe Robyn is the only one pregnant.

I find it interesting how when they were on Anderson, only Mariah said she wanted to continue in the lifestyle. Aspyn seemed very against it and Logan's answer gave me the impression he did not want it either.

I think that Robin is the only one that has been officially announced as being pregnant....but (I could be wrong too, sometimes I often am) I thought I read somewhere where Christine was now preg too....

edit to add: So I looked up on the internet and can't find anything about it, so I must have gotten it all wrong...sorry about that....silly me....

No I don't think Christine is pregnant. I saw them on Anderson on Thursday. Some of the discussion was on Robyn being pregnant with the families #17th child.
Kody did say today he will not marry anymore and Robyn is the last wife.

At least thats what he says now:rotfl:

Christine was never married before. Janelle was - to Meri's brother.

Janelle is the only wife who was not raised in a polygamist family.

Ok so I watch the show  its my guilty pleasure ! But I never knew Janelle was married to Meri's brother. They are all getting a little too weird for me. Meri and Janelle are ex sil's, Janelle's mom is married to Kody's dad :eek::eek::eek:

Don't believe Meri's brother was into poligamy however. Her sister who passed away from cancer was.

In the Mormon faith, men are the leaders and head of the house. Period. Women are taught they are always less than men.

If you delve into the Mormon faith, it's very interesting and mind-boggling, all at the same time. :upsidedow

I am a member of the LDS (Mormon) faith....born and raised. And I have NEVER been taught that women are always less than men. I haven't even been taught that women are sometimes less than men. The statement you made is absolutely false.

And for clarification, even if your statement was correct, it doesn't apply to the Brown's situation, as they are not LDS.

I wouldn't expect any less of an answer from someone that is LDS. People can do their own research on how LDS view women. :)

You are correct, the Browns are FLDS.

I have friends that are LDS and I can tell you that women aren't looked down upon on bit.

I know several Mormon women and it would come as a complete surprise to them that they are considered less than men. I wouldn't want to be the one to tell them that either.

Yes, people can do their own research. However, research relies on accurate resources. So, as someone who lives this faith on a daily basis, I felt the need to state the clarification that I did. And I will leave it at that.

I know many Lds , I also agree with your statement. My own sister in law is former LDS , her family is still members of LDS . Not one single thing I have ever seen suggests woman are looked down upon. I have been around this family for years. If anything the woman wear the pants in the three or four families I can think of off the top of my head.

Now the crazy fringe spinoff teenage girl marrying , prairie dress wearing groups, I think we all know that is a different story.

I believe that a truer sense of how the LDS treats their women would come from the women themselves. My friends seem happy enough in their marriages and family. Their husbands seem like nice guys who treat their wives well.

I agree with you SaraJayne. I live in a very heavily populated LDS area and many of their beliefs are hidden, even from some of their lower level members sometimes!

Do you really think that a woman is gonna come out and tell her friend or neighbor that she is valued less than her husband?

It's not just how they view women, but also minorities and women who can't have children are worthless! And I have that out of the mouth of a high ranking Bishop in the church.

Are you not taught that a woman can only get into heaven if her husband calls her up, he makes the decision? That belief right there shows that women are not valued as high as men.

I did not and do not intend to turn this into a debate over the beliefs of the LDS church. I felt a need to clarify, and I did so. So this is going to be my last post in this thread.

But before I leave I will say, Disneyluvr, in response to both of your posts, you also made inaccurate statements. None of what you said is something I have been taught.

See you all out on the Disney threads! I'm out.

My friends aren't taught that either. I wonder where all these crazy rumors get started
