For the love of all things holy Robyn please STOP CRYING!!!!!!!! It is so annoying! No wonder the other wives aren't thrilled. She is so irritating! More and more I find the Burger King to be just an idiot. Him flouncing around doing his hair while Meri was getting ready was ridiculous. From behind both their heads looked the same. Men should not have swingy hair imo. While I am grateful that he let Mariah know that she needs a real accredited education (Ma & Pa Duggar take note!) I found him weird at the end of the conversation. It was like- "You want to go to the Naval Academy? Great! You must go to public school so you can get in. Well that's all folks! Yuck yuck yuck next show at 10! Yabba dabba dooooo!" I don't know why but I find his behavior so erratic. It's like he pops in.....then pops out. Just like the Burger King!

Because the new wife is actually competition. She's a trophy wife. She had the other wives beat by looks and body and she was number one. She still may be the first wife, the last wife is hot. JMHO.

I thought Meri was the one who introduced Kody to Robyn.. and encouraged a relationship with her. Why is she so upset now??

I have not read this entire thread but does anyone else get the feeling that Kody could turn physically abusive? Something about him scares me. The way he responded to Meri in the restaurant did not sound loving at all. Even with me not agreeing with their views, I think he could have responded in a more civil way.

Meh. I haven't seen the show yet, but I'm sure there are those who will have the opinion that Kody can do no right and will pick on every aspect. I'm not of the opinion that Kody can do no wrong, but I'm sure the show wouldn't be as dramatic and ratings-grabbing if they only showed him in a good mood.

Everyone can get crabby, impatient or short-tempered from time to time. I don't care who you are or what your lifestyle is. Just imagine the judgments from the peanut gallery you'd get on your life if cameras were following you around every day for months and only showed the times you were arguing with your husband or yelling at your kids. People would say you didn't seem to be too loving or civil of a wife or mother and that maybe you could have handled that meltdown in Toy's R Us a little bit better. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because they're still married and still seem to be in love with each other.

The BK references are getting a bit old, though. It might have been funny the first 10-20 times it was said (and I'm being generous here). But like a stale tag-line ("Where's the Beef?") it's starting to get really annoying. I wish people would either find something else to call him, maybe by his name or "the husband", or just turn off the dang show already.

Omg, reminds me of SNL when Amy and Mia do the "Bronx Beat" and Mia(Jody) states how much she HATES her husband BUT she loves him so much and then starts crying and Amy(Betty) looks out at the camera and says, "oh brother, here comes the WATER WORKS" ...

Thats what I think of every single time Robyn starts crying ... "oh brother, here comes the WATER WORKS" ... The Sister Wives always just STARE at her ... none of them lean over and touch her lovingly or put their arms around her ... they just STARE at her.

I have yet to see ANY interaction with all those children. BK does an occaisonal walk by kiss on the head but has he done any back yard sports with the kiddos or any team sports? How about some homework? How about take some of them to the movies or just to the park? No interaction at all. Just procreate and procreate.

That car Janelle was driving ... oh.my.word the window was TAPED SHUT as in SCOTCH TAPE ... yet BK is driving around in a very $$$$ sports coup.

Yes, BK said last night he was being a hypocrite when he told Meri that her being with another man is VULGAR ... oh.my.word.

I know there have been times I thought doing something (a major decision) was going to be the right thing to do, and found out later it was a mistake.

I thought their conversation in the restaurant was really interesting because it had nothing to do with their religion. When Meri asked Kody how he would feel if she got interested in another man, and showed affection to him, I was surprised. And his answer that was shown, had nothing to do with their religious beliefs.

It would appear that Meri gives out the "party line" that polygamy is making her grow as a person, while at the same time she says things like she did last night, and in episodes before, when she says she's only staying because of her daughter and her commitment. She seems very conflicted.

BK was at the hospital orginially with Christine as she was a week overdue ... they then decided that it was the 13th of the month and this was HIS 13th child so they asked the MD to induce her. They said they would.
BK said he wanted to go home to change ... WHY, I have NO CLUE. AND he ended up at Robyn's to tell her Christine was having the baby. He texted Meri and Janelle BUT told Robyn IN PERSON.
Then Christine called his cell to say HURRY BACK and he went running out the door and Robyn following right behind while BK did look at the TLC cameras and state that this was probably NOT GOOD him kissing Robyn while his wife was in labor. YA THINK, BK!!!!!!!

All the little girls all playing with their Barbies and 4 little girls were the WIVES of one Ken doll ... Robyn said they LOVE playing this way.

Just had to chime in here. My oldest DD and I were talking about this show earlier & wondering how they afford the Lexus and huge house and what they did for a living. I did a google search and found an article from people magazine that Utah police are now investigating and may be possibly filing felony charges against them for polygamy. It is illegal. That may explain why the season finale is coming up so quick.

I've been watching some (not all) and all I see is a spoiled brat of a man wanting to live this lifestyle just so he can have it all. I have not once seen them practice any kind of religion or anything to that nature about why this is the lifestyle they have. The husband was not born into this lifestyle, he chose it. Now, I may be wrong on this part, since I'm only going by hearsay, but as far as them being charged, I say good. They were just trying to jump on the reality ban wagon to make a buck & they may get burned. I just feel sorry for the kids.

Just to add the BK guy thing is hilarious, he always freaked me out, just like this guy.

Yes, maybe, but she looks so unhappy. I felt so sorry for her too when she was talking about the miscarriage three years ago. However, she was not willing to take this to the next level with IVF. To me that looked like something BK just said to try to make her happy.

I just get a sense that she is extremely insecure, like when BK asked for a kiss and she said "right now?".Also, the way that she was looking at dinner in her actions and body language. It was like she was not connected to him at all. He was trying, but it looked fake. I think that she just wants someone to really LOVE her, and she's not getting what she needs.

OH, and his hair! He is wearing it like that because he is going bald! Did you see when he pulled it back? There is no hair under there. Just go bald, it would look better! He thinks that he is something else...

That's true. I also wonder how it's going to be when they watch the show, and see things that they wouldn't have otherwise seen. Like this kiss while the other one was in labor. This is going to hurt some feelings.

Actually, a lot of women stay in relationships long past the point where they're getting anything out of it.

But it's still up to them to make the change that will get them out of it. And if they're comfortable in their ruts even though they're unhappy, they're still getting something out of it whether it's comfort, security, money, status, whatever.

We are creatures of comfort. For some of us, things have to get pretty painful before we'll do something about it. Talk to any dentist and he'll tell you the same thing. But given enough pain, we change. I don't know if Meri is miserable in her relationship or not, but if she gets miserable enough I get the feeling that she's just the lady to say, "Sayonara, Kody", take 1/2 of everything and won't look back. I feel that way about Janelle, too. She seems like a strong woman with a great sense of self-esteem and could easily manage on her own if she had to.

Christine? I'm not so sure of. She seems pretty clingy and needy. And I don't know the new wife at all so I can't tell about her.

But I don't worry about Meri and Janelle. They seem to know what they want and they work hard to get it. I have to admire women like that. It may not be my lifestyle, but I admire those who can live it on their terms.
