Sister Challenge - moved to New Years Resolution in July

I'm going to take a reprieve on Monday...(unless I show a loss)....Heck, I've given both sisters reprieves....why can't I take one?
I'm back on track as of right now!! (ok....so maybe in the morning....)
Taking the kids shopping for new bikes....unless they make me mad again....
 
Today was bad.

b-2 donuts....yep...i had 2 and i don't care!! (actually I do... :guilty: )
s-plum
l-chicken salad w/ ranch - 12 oz swt tea
s-strawberry shake
d-spicy chicken w/ ranch
water intake-32 oz
exercise-none....again

I got off work around 3:15...came home, took son for a much needed haircut and then bike shopping. Got him and his sister both new bikes for Easter. Then we went to Home Depot and got 12 bags of mulch...guess what I'm doing tomorrow??!! Finally got home after 6!! then DH & I put the bikes together and let the kids ride them for a little bit. They loved them. DD was really surprised! Of course, it started getting dark out and we told them it was time to go in...DS was fine....DD threw one heck of a fit..."You're mean mommy.....I got a new bike...i'm gonna stay out here and ride it!!!" I said, "fine...i'm going in and shutting the garage door....you and your bike can sleep in the front yard!" she came in and cried for 20 or 30 minutes about not getting to ride her bike! she rode for an hour!! i told her if she did it again, the bike would be going into the attic until she could learn to appreciate what she has. ungratefull little snot!! :furious: (she was overtired from playing outside all day....no tv so she had no choice but to play outside!)
i'm feeling better about the coming week. house renovations are done for a few weeks, dh isn't going out of town again....ever if i have my way....there is no reason why I should not get back on track starting tomorrow. I would like to get up and go walking first thing....then rake the yard and throw down mulch....hopefully getting a tan at the same time!! :teeth: I'll let you know how it goes!

I love your tile. It really warms up the living room. What is it with naming paint after food? You've got asparagus soup and we have garbanzo bean. Our bathroom is fennel - go figure! You're really moving quickly with the renovations. It always seems to take us forever to get stuff finished. I always feel that by the time I get everything done the way I want - its time to start over again. Have a Happy Easter!
 
So, did you get your walk in this morning? YOU CAN DO IT!!! :cheer2: And I bet your Monday weigh-in will be better than you think.

My DS is really sensitive to changing activities. I always have to give him the "OK, in 5 minutes we have to leave the playground, turn off the TV, etc" warning or he would just have a meltdown. It is amazing that simply being tired can turn a normally calm kid into a screaming nightmare, isn't it? Wait until our DDs are teenagers. Then we'll know what hell is REALLY like! :rotfl:
 

I think I've made up for no exercise today....actually....I think I almost overdid it! No, I didn't get up and go walking today....
1)dh took kings size comforter to laundromat...while he was gone I
2)cleaned up DD6 room....rearranged her closet and put all of her clothes away...then I
3)got all of my spring/summer clothes out of the attic and put all the winter stuff away....totally cleaned out my closet....then I
4)tried to try on my stuff from last year and got really....really depressed because they are all 10's and I'm not a 10....i'm more of a 12/13....when dh got home we
5)raked the entire yard....then he
6)cut the grass while I
7)trimmed the bushes & shrubs (and cleaned up that mess) and then I
8) hauled 12 bags of mulch from the back of my van and put them in the flower beds and raked it out evenly.....then around 2 I came in the house and took a shower.....i was covered in dirt!
We went to church tonight instead of tomorrow, then we went to Walmart for a b-day gift for the neighbor. Now I'm sitting here, trying to keep my eyes open just long enough to log my journal for today....I'm exhausted!

d-chicken tender & 2 potato wedges (from walmart)
water intake-90 oz....(getting there Amy!)
exercise - raking-45 minutes (upper body/ab), triming hedges-non electric clippers- 30 minutes (arm/shoulder), hauling 12 bags mulch - 15 minutes(arms/back/legs/abs), dumping-raking mulch - 45 minutes (back/arms/abs).

I know i'm gonna be sore in the morning, but that's ok....we got a lot of stuff done today and it feels good knowing it's done! the yard looks really good! Tomorrow we are going to a Triple A baseball game...I love going to these...we have a lot of fun!

You are one busy woman! You need to come here to help me get my butt moving with house renovations & organization!! :rolleyes1

I know you'll be back on track this week...you want it! And wait to weigh yourself on Monday before deciding if you want to use a reprieve or not. You might be surprised...with all you've been doing - I'll bet it's not as bad as you think.

I got tired just reading that! I should have been doing all that stuff but instead I opted for the wine cooler-read a trashy magazine route. :teeth:

LOL!! :rotfl2: i envy you!!

I'm just glad it's all done for now. I wanted to sleep in this morning but my muscles were screaming at me, then the kids got up and found their baskets, then we did our little egg hunt in the front yard. All that before 7am!! Don't ya know the neighbors hate us!! :teeth: DH said this is worse than Christmas!!
 
Wow, all that yard/house work was WAY better than walking! Besides going to the gym in the morning, I pretty much lounged around and did NOTHING while DH slaved in the backyard, rerouting all the sprinklers. I kept offering to help, but he must think I'll screw something up...

Your eating was great (probably cuz you didn't have time to think about it!). You will get back on track this week, I know it! :cheer2:
 
Hi Marie! :wave: I like your new tile a lot! Way to go on getting that finished up and getting all that yard work done! That is a whole lot of physical activity! I am sure you burned a bunch of calories yesterday!

Ok, so yesterday was Easter and I started off pretty good - but then we went to the baseball game and that kinda blew it for me....

exercise - I got out of bed....muscles were SOOOO sore from the yard work!

Amy- I guarantee I will be back on track this week!! After getting out my summer clothes, I have no choice but to lose this weight!! I don't have any money for new clothes....it all went to my tile!!!

Amber-Thanks for the encouragement (thanks all of you!) I'm nervous about weighing in. I really don't even want to go back there to the scale. I will after my shower.....maybe!

So, how did the big weigh-in go? I weighed myself this morning and was only 1 lb over what I was before I started my 4-day food free-for-all. So I bet you won't be as disappointed as you think! :teeth:

i'm going to double my water intake!! Also, since hubby is back, i will go walking in the morning, and then running on tues,wed,thurs & fri evening. i'm also going to fit bob into my schedule on tues & thurs morning. This is my goal for this coming week. I know I can do this. There is absolutely NO reason why i can't reach this goal and lose 2 or 3 lbs this week!

anyone remember this post from last week?? my BIG plans....my BIG goal....well, i blew it!! (as you already know!)

sis#1-not answering her phone....no reprieve....i left her a message that i will add 5 lbs to her total if she doesn't call me back!

sis#2 - she goes to WDW for a week and only gains 1 lb. who does that? Doesn't she know about the Mickey Ice Cream??!! :confused3
She's at 181.

Sis#3 - 161 ish....kinda between 161 & 162. no, i'm not happy. i knew it was coming and it's my own fault. this week will be much better. nothing to get in the way, and if something does get in the way, there will be hell to pay!!
I was so depressed Saturday because of none of my summer clothes fitting....DH asked me what he could do to cheer me up....i told him liposuction!!
This week I'm going to go back to last week. (does that make sense?) I will double my water intake...I will start my running again....I made a promise to Kim that I will be doing Bob w/ her...Monday, Tuesday & Thursday....will be in the evenings though....I will lose 3 lbs this week!! oh yes...I will!!! :cheer2:

kim-don't think i'll make it for the guts to glory...but i did tell my dh about it...i still think it would be cool! also, if i could find someone to keep the kids for me I want to go to Chicago in Sept for the 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk....60 miles in 3 days....we'll see.
 
Wow Marie...that was a lot of yard work! I'm sure you burned a ton of calories out there!!! And all that raking is good for the abs...I bet they're sore too. I bet your weigh in went better then you thought...

Oh...and I invited myself to join you and Kim with the BL for mon, tues, and thurs this week... Trainer Bob won't know what to do with himself... 3 dates all in the same day, lol.

You're really stepping up the exercising. I've netflixed one or both of the workout videos from the show but haven't received them yet. They must be good I have heard so many positive things about them. I'm just glad the holidays are over! Its going to be tough getting back to my Body for Life eating again.
 
Just finished reading your thread. It has been really helpful for me to read other people's experiences. You generally do great with food and your exercising is impressive. I just started WISH TODAY and need lots of inspiration.

Today was good...i think....good compared to the last 2 weeks anyway!

water intake - 97 oz!!!! OMG...i can't believe i drank that much water!!! i've spent most of the day in the bathroom peeing my brains out, but it will be sooooo worth it on my next weigh in!!! actually, every time i looked at my bottle of water on my desk, i just took a big drink!!! wow...i'm impressed!
exercise - none - but i have a good excuse....dd has gymnastics on monday nights, and i had to run to walmart and by the time i got home we had to do dinner and put laundry away....i didn't sit down until 8:30!!! I'll make it up...i promise...i have to!!!
resisted-candy drawer, somekind of lemon/apricot cake the boss brought in, girl scout cookies.

I will get up in the morning and do Bob....the stretching and strength one is good for in the morning!

Great job on the water intake!! And Bob was asking about you last night...but he understands how busy us moms can get and sometimes there's just not enough time in the day...but he says next time he's gonna come bust your door down... lol!!!! j/k... Have a great day!
