Do you rub the steak with olive oil? Garlic salt? With shrimp? How do you cook yours?

To be honest we quit using our Foreman grill. We found steaks much better tasting if they are seared for about a minute each side in a hot frying pan and they finished in a hot oven for a few minutes on each side. The Foreman smashed the steak.

I season both sides with kosher salt & pepper and then put in the foreman grill - no oil necessary! Of course I'd rather it on the grill outside but the foreman is great when I don't want to go out or am working to get things on the table quick! I haven't cooked shrimp in it but now I'm interested

When I used the Foreman more I used to just sprinkle with ordinary salt and pepper. Nowadays I'm fond of using Tastefully Simple's Seasoned Salt anytime I cook beef - be it on the Foreman, gas grill or in the crockpot.

I just season my steaks with Montreal steak seasoning and toss it on the grill. Mmmm, maybe that's what I'll have tonight!

BTW, speaking of Foreman grills, can you buy those little trays anywhere? My dogs got to mine and I've been using foil, but that doesn't work all that great.

Rub with olive oil, then season with sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper. If you wanted you could rub with garlic as well, before the oil.

I cook on a heavy cast iron griddle pan at about white hot or supa nova for 2 mins each side then rest for 2 min before serving. Have the pan dry and add the meat just before the iron starts to turn to liquid ;)

Electric grills are fine for pork, chicken and sausage, but dont get anywhere near hot enough for a good steak IMHO
