My membership is coming up soon to renew. Just checking to see what kind of rate everyone is getting. Every year I hear so many people getting different and cheaper rates. I always call and tell them that I hear about the rates, ask if they can do better and they do. Why don't they just give us the better rate from the beginning. Thanks for your input! Happy shopping!

I think mine was $30 for 6 mos. I removed the auto renewal option too This time.

My coworker let her subscription lapse and just got something in the mail for 2 weeks free and then 6 months for $25.

We cancelled ours over a year ago and we still get the invite to rejoin at 6 months for $25. When we had xm we used our credit/debit card to pay but only as a one time charge. Doing it this way meant they had to call us as our contract neared the end. They had to have our approval before billing us again. Then we would tell them we were going to cancel and they offered up the 6 months for $25. We ended up canceling it all together bc we just aren't in the car that much to worry about having xm.

SiriusXM Free Listening event May 21 - June 3 :)
We got this flier for our inactive radio, is everyone's back on?

My hubby didn't listen to me and is paying 130 for 6 months! I told him to read the thread but he didn't.

sigh....

I would call them and tell them you are going to cancel unless they give you a better rate ... $130 for 6 months is absolutely rediculous!!! I just paid $25 for 6 months .... $31 total after taxes/fees

I just renewed last week.

I called and said I was looking to cancel.
When asked why I said it was because of the cost.

I was offered 12 months for $92 total.

I hemmed and hawed a bit and said I still that will be too much.

I was then offered 5 months for $25 total, which I accepted.

I added a note into my calendar to call back 2 days before the 5 months is up to get another deal or cancel.

I received the 2 week free/$25 for 6 months in the mail. I'm going to wait the 2 weeks then call and subscribe for the 6 months.

I don't know how and I don't remember why - but we get ours FREE for the duration on the equipment. It's a portable Nano (think that's the name). DH bought it about 7 years ago. Still going strong. We don't listen to it often,so they will disconnect the service, but all we do is call and they hook us right back up. Crazy I know.

I just renewed at this same rate - AFTER I called in to cancel. I had been on a 6-month, $25 plan (total $31), then it renewed at a 3-month rate of $90+ dollars. I called to dispute this and was very prepared to cancel. I "offered" to pay $50 for 1 year of their service - and was not laughed at, but no go. I based that on if I were to subscribe to Pandora for ad-free service thru my cell phone, it would cost me $1 a month = $12 a year. I do pay for 2GB of data plan for my cell phone, but rarely if ever use it due to wi-fi in my house and at work. Even if I used more GB's playing tunes in my car via Pandora, it would not equate to 2GB a month - I am not in my car THAT much.

I renewed for $25 for 5 months - which actually works out since in 5 months, my car lease will be up and I will be turning in the car. Then the fun begins again.

You can still have him call and tell them he's wants to cancel. They'll offer him a better deal and refund the difference.

Thanks everyone! Just checking to see what everyone has received for a rate before I start calling them when I receive the rate they are offering me. I have checked here the last couple years for the renewal rates. I have always received a rate around $130.00 each year and call which they end up doing better. I don't understand just give the better rate up front. Oh well! Thanks againfor everyone's help! You always get alot of good information and help here on this website! :)
