So is there anyone out there that goes on the disney cruises by themselves? I am so missing the DCL, but I cannot fathom going on a cruise by myself. Plus I would imagine that the cruise would be much more expensive if there is only me. Are there any other singles out there, that might want to go on a cruise and have a roommate?

I've cruised solo, and it's wonderful! No way would I want to share a cabin with a stranger, although some lines do have a "share" program where they'll match you up. Why not consider another line, if Disney charges 200% of the fare?

I've done 9 DCL cruises, but Holland America Line (HAL) is by far my favorite. They charge solos 150% if it's a non-verandah cabin, 190% if there's a verandah. I did a solo in April, and loved every minute! I'll be cruising in January with boyfriend, and I really hope he likes it but not enough to want to go every year. That way I'll cruise with him in the odd years and solo in the even years - the best of both worlds :thumbsup2

I've cruised solo. Not with Disney. Yet. I have a Magic cruise planned for next year. It can be very expensive to cruise solo, but deals can be found and I would rather shop carefully and have my own stateroom than share with a stranger.

I can see your points about a stranger. I know I have a acquaintance that has to get her own cabin, because her snoring is so bad. Will any of you who have done a solo cruise disney or not, share some of your ventures? anything fun and exciting or neat that you experienced?
