Which attractions have single rider lines?

Is the single rider line typically quicker than the fast past line?

I couldn't pull up PP's links...
From what I recall...SR is on RSR, CS, GSS, GRR and Soarin at DCA
IJA, Splash Mtn and Matterhorn at DL.

I think the time would be comparable if the ride has FP. Out of the SR lines available, only Matterhorn does not have FP.

It seemed like SR lines typically went quicker than FP lines. Sometimes it doesn't; I recall waiting nearly an hour for a SR at Soarin' Over California. But on others, like GRR and IJ, it seemed much quicker generally.

RSR single rider is usually slower (when I have gone) than fast pass. Matterhorn can be slow and does not have fast pass...just depends. Indy is quicker going single rider and I think that is the case (quicker) with GRR and Splash. Soaring is slow. Other than that, I don't go on GSS or Screamin', so can't compare.

Um, anyone have a list of all these acronyms so I don't have to so searching to figure out what you all are talking about?

In California Adventure: Radiator Springs Racers, California Screamin', Goofy's Sky School, Grizzly River, and Soarin'

In Disneyland: Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, and Matterhorn.

Most are much faster with Single Rider except for Soarin'... usually a Fastpass will get you in just as fast, not much time saved there.

I'm going to be visiting DL by myself for the first time on my next trip, I never done solo before.

Other than making the most of single rider lines, does anyone have any suggestions for good things to do around the parks when you're solo?

I've done a solo before, and am up for another one in a few months... and sometimes BFF and I go together, which is almost like a solo trip since BFF and I love to do the same things.

Some things I enjoy on a solo trip:
Riding what I want, when I want, as many times as I want. If you hit a "good" time hour or so, you can ride the Matterhorn 4-5 times using the single rider line. (Some times it's not so quick, other times, I only wait 5 minutes!)

Watch shows that normally I wouldn't slow down for if I was trying to get my rides, plus DD's rides, plus DH's rides: Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, It's Tough to Be a Bug, Muppets 3D, whatever show is at the Golden Horseshoe, Turtle Talk with Crush.

People watching. I love coming up with silly stories about the people I see...

Eating snacks continually instead of eating meals... or, seeing how many snacks I can eat in a day... or how many new foods I can try in a day.

Riding a new ride....

Window shopping...

everything that lalasmother said
it is great to do a solo trip, very relaxing actually I always enjoy going with friends and family, but being solo is so nice, and I have never met rude or mean people while in lines waiting for food or rides, everyone loves to talk about their favorite places at disneyland, and then I can try some of those places out, love getting up early and doing lots of things and then taking it easy the rest of the day, shopping, people watching watch the parade twice in one day, and making it to see WOC, I love doing the art of animation over and over and over and learning to draw all the wonderful characters, going to Aladdin twice once to watch it and once to jsut kick back and enjoy "and try not to nod off". I do not seem to get as tired when doing a solo trip as I do when I am with Friends and Family
I am leaving in 3 weeks for my solo trip can't wait

Disneyland:

-Matterhorn

-Indiana Jones

-Splash Mountain

DCA:

-Radiator Springs Racers

-California Screamin

-Goofy's Sky School

-Grizzly River Run

-Soarin Over California

Radiator Springs Racers is by far the most efficient single rider attraction. Unlike the other rides where you have to go up through exits, elevators, and Fast Pass queues, RSR has a dedicated single rider queue that starts at the entrance of the attraction. It moves quickly and if you don't want to go through the hassle of getting a FP for Racers, this is by far the fastest way of getting on the ride.

Hell, I'd argue that single rider is faster than Fast Pass after you factor in having to get to the park in the morning, wait in line for a FP (can be a 30- 60min wait just to get a FP), then have to wait for your return window, and finally have to wait through the FP queue which can be long, especially after a break down.

My last few visits, the RSR SR line has been under 20mins, sometimes a walk-on mid day!

Whoa...I didn't realize there was a long wait just to get a fast pass for RSR.

I will be there with my husband and toddler son. What is our best plan of attack to each ride RSR with little wait?

We got our fast passes on a Friday around 10:30 or 11am (with a 9am opening) for a return time of 5:30pm and there was no wait. we just walked up and pulled them.

Personally, I have never waited a long time for a FP or in the FP queue (with the exception of NYE week). The FP's are not running out as soon as they used to be.
If you have a kid that is two short to ride, the logical step to me would be to have each of you use the SR line. You can ask the CM at the front of the ride for a child swap pass and the first rider can go through SR and the next person will be able to go through the FP queue with the child swap pass.
Let me know if you need more help with the acronyms.

I'm lucky *** when DH is there he'll do whatever I have in mind, but I probably slow down a bit more with him. I like the idea of seeing the shows i've never seen before with the extra time! and the snacks!! and maybe just trying to be more observant and take time and enjoy the amazing surroundings. :cloud9:
