Single rider queue being tested at Crush

Thank you for the info! I was hoping maybe RNRC would have it since I am going to skip RC Racer and TSPD..but maybe if the line is short I'll be able to do them!

We go straight to Crush's Coaster as soon as the park gates open to get on that as soon as it starts operating. Have one or possibly more rides on that until the queue gets long, then get a FP for Tower Of Terror. Then head for RC Racer, which is not usually busy that early. It doesn't last long as far as rides go, but goes very high so good adrenalin, especially if you are sitting at the front or very back.

Other rides may not have official single rider lines but they'll sometimes shout for single riders to fill gaps and you can ride a little sooner. I've certainly seen this done on RNRC and SM.

The tests have finished  So it's back to one queue for the moment :sad2:

Saw this being tested over the weekend, very good idea and both times the wait was around 25 mins.

What i dont understand is why doesnt this ride have fastpass?

They tried FP's too at one point and it's too slow/hard to load so they didn't go any further with the idea.

Waiting and seeing if the single rider idea will put in for good or not :)

I heard that the trial had ended. Shame, because I was hoping that I could try this next week.
They do call out for singles / twos in the queue lines to fill gaps, but you can only hear this when you are near the front of the queue of course, so not like single rider. You have still had to queue in the main line ( maybe for some considerable time ) so you only jump a few people usually.
I hope they do decide the trial was a success as I mainly visit DLP on my own nowadays. ( until I get grandchildren! )

The biggest problem with Crush is that the hourly capacity is extremely poor. I think I read somewhere that it can only take 600 riders per hour. When you compare that to 2400 for Space Mountain, it's clear to see that it's a problem that's never going to go away.

They tried Fastpass but as the capacity is low, they could offer so many and they ran out quickly. This leads to dissatisfied customers and it also had a large knock-on effect to the normal queue and therefore more unhappy customers.

The single rider line does make sense as it's only filling seats that would otherwise be empty. I know Alton Towers use single rider lines for a lot of their attractions and it works well, though the wait time is sometimes as long as the normal queue.

Just because the trial has ended, it doesn't mean that a decision has been made either way. Theoretically it can only decrease the size of the normal queue so it's just a case of the logistics (having a clearly separate entrance) and managing guest expectations of the single rider queue time.
