InsideDLParis on twitter has just tweeted pictures of the new single rider queue being tested on Crush link

Great idea but I bet it will be as long as the other line :rotfl:and they must be thinking so too looking at point 4 ;)

If it cools down a bit Friday I might go and check it out:goodvibes

This is such a good idea! I'm glad they've done this, hopefully they will still have it in October. I love this ride and really want to go on it next time but my mother hates it, so I would've had to have gone on my own sitting in a pod with a random couple :sad2:

Do you think you would be able to do the baby switch thing from this queue? DH and I would probably both like to ride it (subject to the queue not being too long - ha!), but don't think either child would come on with us, so we'd be riding singly? :confused3

It will be worse (in a way) as you'll be sitting in a pod next to a random stranger along with the other 2 strangers behind you ;)

Hi,
I really hope they continue this trial beyond next week, as I am there on my own from the 11th. Would be great to get more rides during the day without waiting too long, instead of just first or last thing.
I love this ride!

Personally, I don't see why you couldn't use Babyswitch facility using the single rider line, but you would both need to be in the queue of course, as you can't get straight on after first parent gets off, as you can normally. The second parent would have to wait until there was a spare seat.

::yes::

Reminds me of the first time I rode Crush. There was a spare seat next to me which got filled by a random stranger ..... who got so scared that he clutched my hand half-way round the ride! He apologised profusely once the ride was over but it was a bit of a surprise at the time!

Amazing! :rotfl:
I don't mind sitting next to randoms as once the ride gets going you don't care....but I must admit I'd find this a bit queer!

Hi,
I was on a solo trip in January ( although I met up with some DLP forum posters there ) and got to the front of the queue for BTM. The CM asked how many ( as they do ) so poor Billy No Mates Me says one. Directed to numbered gate, back seat of cart.

Standing there on my own, when English chap waiting next to me for the middle seat asks if I am on my own, and if I wanted to sit with him. His wife and child were in the front seat. Sounded like a good idea, so I moved along.

Boarded the ride, but as soon as it set off he put his arm round me, which was a bit of a surprise! He was laughing all the way round BTM, which was infectious, and we both shouted WHOOOOOOOO! through the tunnels.

Felt rather strange having this strange man hugging me with his wife sitting in front, but all harmless fun. Has good chat about DLP etc afterwards and they invited me to join them and their friends. Very kind offer, but I had to refuse as I was meeting a DLP forum poster for lunch.

Then I got talking with a lovely South African man and his daughter in the Studios, queueing to meet Minnie & Daisy, on their first visit, and subsequently spent the next few hours showing them round the park, going on rides, watched some shows and Stars n Cars, chatted having coffee, until I had to leave to meet another DLP forum member in the Disneyland Park.

Was also enjoying a ride on Crush with three Spanish twenty- somethings, clapping and whooping on our way up the long climb....when it broke down. Sat for some time before they turned on the lights and we had to walk out. Shame, because they were good fun.

Then I got chatting to an Australian family in the Disneyland Park, and watched the show on Central Plaza Stage, and Fantillusion, with them.

Also had a lovely conversation with a Spanish man with his young son, whilst waiting for Princess Aurora's Christmas Wish to begin.
One morning I was at the Studios gates early, around 9am, when a French guy and girlfriend came along, poring over a park map, obviously on a first visit. I mentioned about going to Crush's Coaster first, which led to chatting about both parks. He had visited the park in 1992, but not since, so they were glad of the info. Made the 30 mins pass much more quickly than just standing there waiting.

Just because you go on a trip to DLP by yourself, or use single rider, does not mean you have to be alone...and some random people can be very friendly!

On another trip, I was on Tower Of Terror, sitting next to a guy and his girlfriend. During the drops sequence, in his fright he obviously forgot which side his GF was sitting on, and flung his arms around me by mistake, just as the camera took the photo. I was with my eldest son ( 21 ) who thought this was hilarious, so we bought the photo.

P.S. I am happily married, and no spring chicken!

You have to post this photo! :goodvibes

How on earth do I do that? Bit of a computer Numpty. Assume you need a printer thingy that scans photos?

:lmao: at the stories! Would love to see THAT photo too :lmao:.

Similar experience on ToT - man next to me gripped my thigh! :lmao: I had DH on the other side of me which made it all the more funny, and then we broke down and were left suspended for about 10 minutes - the poor man didn't know where to look as he was so embarrassed but he obviously didn't want to say anything about it!

Single rider line is great news! Anyone know of other rides that have single ride queues?

Or take a picture of the picture to get it on the PC quicker :) (with your phone or digital camera if you have one)

Good idea. Didn't think of that. Photo will be in one of our many boxes of Disney ride & Character photos. This was about 5 years ago. Will have a hunt for it and see if I can get a decent photo to put on flickr.

Need to build an extension really, so have more walls and places for DLP photos. Shame just being in boxes or in albums, especially when they have the themed frames as well.

Hi KMG,

At present, only RC Racer and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop in Toy Story Playland ( in the WDS Park ) also have single rider line.

I used it for TSPD and didn't wait long at all. Havn't used it for RC Racer myself yet as no need or wanted to ride with my son or DH.

Thank you for the info! I was hoping maybe RNRC would have it since I am going to skip RC Racer and TSPD..but maybe if the line is short I'll be able to do them!
