It's been about 6 years since our last trip to DL. Went in Aug (ugh hot) and going again first week in August. Know about the heat and crowds. Was tipped off about single rider line last time and it worked out very well for Splash. Thought we also did Indy w/single rider then. Was Indy a Single Rider option then and is no longer such. Just remember that DS did Indy about 8 times over and over and also that I did it around 4 before I "had enough".
Any other Single Rider options we should be aware of at DL or DCA would be appreciated.
TIA
Carolyn

GRR
Mulholland Madness
Soarin
Screamin
Maliboomer (I think)

CA Screamin' has a lovely SR line. Go to the CM at the entrance to the line, ask for a SR pass. The CM will give you one and direct you out and up, to the accessible entrance. Go in that gate and you will be on the opposite side where the people who stood in line are waiting to board. You will be seated next to an unsuspecting stranger. Have fun!!!

Grizzly has a SR line but when we've been there the line has only been about 5 minutes long, so the Single line has never been open for me.

Soarin' has one too and it's brilliant. You get funny looks from people thinking you're cutting, though! They too give a pass that you give to the CMs inside once they ask for it (there's a lot of instructions given to you and random waits there, but nowhere near the wait of the normal line for Soarin')

That's all I can think of right now.

Screamings Single Rider is the best. When I went there was no people waiting in the single line so after I got off the ride I asked the CM loading if I had to go back for another pass or if I could just get back in line and he said it was OK since there was no one else in line. I rode like 4 times in 15 minutes. Which is a lot considering the ride is 3 minutes long. After the 4th time I told the CM I had enough and he was playfully taunting me... Best 15 minutes I spent in the park!!!

I agree 100%. :thumbsup2

Other benefit to the CA Screamin' Single Rider line is that not even 10 yards away is Triton's Carousel. So non-screamin' family members can pass the time enjoyably while the Hound gets his Screamin' fix in. :cool2:

Enjoyably? Obviously, you haven't been the one riding King Triton's carousel multiple times with a 5 year old while waiting for your family to get their Screamin' fix in. :rolleyes1 :headache: Thank God my kids are almost all old enough so we can enjoy Screamin altogether (using FP, of course).

I did use the Single rider line multiple times on the Ladies' Only trip, and I agree, it's awesome!

Nobody has mentioned the latest SR line ride, Toy Story Midway Mania. However they aren't using it right now because they don't want tons of families using it to escape the 5+ hour long lines. It might be open by August, but you never know.

Even 2 hours is too long to wait for a ride. Who in their right mind would 5 hours for a ride??? You could fly from LAX to Orlando, drive to Hollywood Studios and get in the single rider line and be done with TSMM in not much more time!

lol i sure hope not heck i may have to have us run to it on openg on one day or jsut wait and go at the ahlloween party wonder if it will be open

I just hope Indy is back up by the time we go..... Looks like we'll be there around the same time!

wow exact amount of days on our counter hehe indy is up it wasnt down it was a mistake on the website we are praying its up

You might not have noticed, but it's not on the refurb list. Being listed as a refurb on the disneyland calendar was an error.

Anything can happen, and it does break down temporarily quite often, but it's not on the refurb list on the disneyland calendar now. :)

Thats good news... We start in San Diego. Don't get to DL till 10/11...
