Single rider for Remy?

I just found out about the single rider line for Ratatouille. We have a LL for Remy at 2:45 on our first Epcot day. That's a pretty crappy time, but it's all we could get. Should we change it to Frozen and just use the single rider for Remy? How good is that line? Thanks!

There is no SR for Remy.

There was a sign out when it opened, it was never used. They discovered Americans can be on the bigger side (this comes as a complete and total shock to Disney every time they make a ride) so they had to remove the small dividers that divided the bench seat into 3 distinct spots. Now a SR will have their own bench or maybe share with 1 other person- either way you wait through the normal line.

If staying on-site use EE to rope drop whatever you enter closer to (front=frozen, IG=Remy) and LL the other one.

Okay, I got some bad info. Follow-up question: if we clear our first LL at 9:50, will there be any Tier One availability at Epcot for that day?

Just for future reference on SR for ANY ride. If you decide to do that, you need to be fully prepared to be separated AND that there could be a wait - sometimes lengthy - between people riding (depends on the ride...Test Track (assuming they keep their 3/3 set up usually goes fast, EE is a crap shoot, RnRC you're almost better just going through the line). So whoever goes first may have a while to wait before the rest of the party gets through.

ETA: Even with Test Track (again, assuming the configuration stays the same), there is no guarantee that your group will be split as you desire. On Radiator Springs, there was a group that had a young-ish child and the mom had to let a couple of legit single parties go between her with the younger kid (who probably shouldn't have been allowed in SR anyway) that she wouldn't let go alone and her older kid who went in one car and then there was a series of cars that would only take 1.

I agree - I remember overhearing the CM at the Test Track entrance explaining this to guests, emphasizing that what the sign said was true, that single riders meant riding without anyone else you knew. I wonder whether that mom lied to an CM earlier about allowing that child to ride alone?

When I was in the LL for Remy earlier this year, I took this picture of the SR sign, but as mentioned before, they've never used it. I wonder if people on VIP tours get to sneak in this way.

Yup. It was set up with every intention of using it. But during Covid Disney realized Americans aren’t tiny and they had to remove the separators on the benches that made each mouse fit 6 people.

Only people who use it now are indeed VIP tour groups and CMs.

Yes. Soarin will be available.

Beyond that, look at Thrill Data to gauge your chances. Nobody can tell you for sure one or the other what you will facing. It is a gamble. If you are not ok with it being a gamble, don’t buy it. If you want the best odds scan into a 9am throwaway and try for a second one-tier immediately.

We used single rider on Remy in Paris this summer and waited a total of three minutes. We wondered why Epcot doesn’t offer this. Thank you for explaining the nitty gritty 😁
