Hi all,

I have a 3 year old an 1 year that I will be taking to wdw in April. What are your thoughts on having a double stroller or two single strollers. I need to decide which would be better. We will have 3 adults on the trip and my two kids. Thanks for your comments.

We had a double stroller last time (the one where they sit in front of each other) and didn't have any trouble with it. I think the hardest part was inside the shops and manuvering it around. I think whatever is the most comfortable for the kids, and what has a lot of room underneath for bags, etc. :)

Last time we went with 4 adults and two singles was great as we could split up a bit as our DD4 could do more than DS1.

In april we are doing one double stroller as it will just be the two of us with the kids.

Not really an answer but we thought 2 strollers with 2 adults wasn't going to be practical.

It might vary based on when you are traveling and where you are staying.

For example, the double jogger will be easier throughout the day in the parks during low crowd seasons, but might be a pain if it's super crowded.

Unless you're planning on splitting your kids up at any point in time, I would do a double.

I'm thinking 2 singles would be a giant pain if the adults in your group ever want to all ride a ride with height limits. You would have to go in one at a time unless 1 adult just sits down with the two strollers. It also seems easier to only have 1 stroller to worry about, 1 to take on the bus, etc.

We saw tons of the City Mini double strollers around the parks that the rental companies give out. I can personally say we loved the single version of that stroller, and that's what we would get if we had 2 children.

We are renting the double citi mini for our trip. We have DD1 and DD4 and there will be 4 adults total. I'm really hoping that it works out well bc husband was against it and I really don't want to hear "I told you so" :)

We have a 4 y/o and 1 y/o. I told my wife that we would be fine with just our Maclaren single umbrella for the baby. After carrying around our oldest for a day and a half, I'm the one who booked the double citi mini...delivered to our resort, no hassles, and worked really well...and when we go next year, I'll book this for us before we even get on the airplane :)

As someone mentioned, it may depend on when you go. We were there the first week of February, so a bit slower period crowd-wise, but we didn't have much of a problem negotiating the side-by-side.

We have the City Select stroller which is amazing and allows for 2 inline seats which can also face in multiple directions (both forward, both backward, both facing each other, etc.) It's pricey but worth it to me.

In the both facing forward as well it's almost a stadium seating type setup so they can both see what's going on.

I hadn't thought about this, but this is something to think about, too. I know when we went one person would go grab a table if it was a place we had to do that, and then another would go for the food. If you have 2 strollers, this might be hard to do. Something to consider.

My sister is planning on 2 strollers this coming week with a 14mo and 2.5yr old. Her thinking is that they'll be able to nap separately but that the 2yr old can still walk and burn energy when she needs to. We'll have 3 or 4 adults tho, depending on the day so plenty of people to push.

I'll let you know how it worked out when we return :)

I've always gone with a double. With 2 singles you HAVE to have 2 adults push. A double gives you more freedom.

We're doing 2 singles.

We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old who do NOT get along. We are bringing a Pliko that folds up like an umbrella stroller and another smaller stroller. If we don't need one because our 4 year old can walk, we'll just leave it in the room. I just don't want them to be able to touch each other. :confused3

^^This.

I have a 4yo and a 5yo that fight constantly in our double stroller. I'm not sure I can handle an entire day of smacking, yelling, pinching, and arguing.

We'll have four adults and two toddlers. We're considering one double stroller and one single stroller. That way we have an extra seat for all the stuff. If the two cousins want to sit side by side for a bit, we'll park a stroller. If one needs to head back to the hotel for a nap while the rest stay at the parks, we can easily split them up. We are staying at BLT and only visiting MK so we aren't worried about using the buses. That would be the only pain. HTH!
