We have been to WDW twice before, but my mom has always traveled with us. This year I will be traveling alone with my two children. Ages 13 and 12. I am having second thoughts, what do you do on rides that only two can ride. I don't want the kids riding with strangers, is that being to over protective. I also feel that some of the magic will be lost having to split up on rides. I could pair the kids up, but I will miss the excitement in their voices, during the rides. Any Suggestions!!!!

As long as your kids are comfortable with this idea, I would rotate so everyone has a turn to ride with everyone else--sometimes the two of them, sometimes one of them with you, etc. They are old enough to ride alone or with a stranger as long as you're going on at the same time, in my opinion, and I am one of the most cautious/paranoid mommies on the planet! :-)

I hope you have a magical trip!

Disnee Dad Says.............................they ride together, and you get the stranger! it will be fine.

I would not even give it a second thought at that age. They can ride right in front of you and you all will never be more that a few feet away from each other. Many rides as you know can be done together. I think that going just the three of you will be extra special. Enjoy the time together.

When the kids were younger the rides they could ride on we could all ride together, except Goofy's barnstormer and then they rode together in the car in front of me. Now we will either switch who gets to ride with who or they will ride together and I will ride alone. It's never been a huge problem. Also with 12 an d13 yo having them riding with a stranger shouldn't be a huge deal.

::yes::

I know all will work out and we will have a wonderful time. We talked about it last night, and the kids agree to ride together on the dark rides like Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, etc. I don't think I would feel comfortable having them ride with a stranger on these rides. Unless it was another kid. So all will be fine and we will have a wonderful trip. Heck we are going to Disney and Universal Studios, what else could we ask for!!!!!

Thanks again::MickeyMo
