I have a friend who is recently divorced, and he was thinking about taking his 4 year old daughter to WDW next year. Is this a good idea? If so, have any of you single parents ever gone to WDW with just you and your small children? How did it turn out?

I think it's a wonderful idea. My grand boss (boss's boss) is recently divorced and he took his 5 year old DD on a land/sea trip to Disney. He came back and said that he had the most amazing time. Even though he didn't do much drinking (which he likes to do) or eat at the more upscale restaurants like Cali Grill etc, he still had a wonderful time. He loved seeing WDW thru his daughter's eyes and he's definitely thinking of doing it again next year, maybe during Christmas time.

I think it is a wonderful idea as well. Especially if it is only one child. A 4 year old is a great age to take to disney and they usually aren't hard to handle at that age. It would probably be a great bonding experience for both of them.
