single digits - WL here I come

We made our requests when booking and called three days prior to make sure our requests were in (they were!) All set no problem so off we go...

We arrive at to check in and are told - rooms are given out on a first come first serve basis throughout the day! We were essentially told that requesting view really means nothing so please don't get your hopes up to high for a specific thing.

Who did you call? My guess is you talked to the reservation person who just read your reservation. When you fax a request to the resort, it goes directly to the resort room assigner who usually assignes rooms two to three days before you arrive, but it can change at anytime. In my opinion, the fax just makes your requests more visible to the person assigning the room.

I'm jealous of all of you. We got back from the lodge a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. This morning DD asked when we could go again. I'd highly recommend asking about a conceirge upgrade (woodsview rate was $45 a night). It really paid for itself with the food and drink offerings alone.
