Currently at 21 days so I'll be doing the single digit dance in 12 days. Have a great time.

I'm kidding. :flower3: Of course.

Hey Rob..I will still be worried about all the sea critters though....didn't like reading that Vero Beach Warning sign that someone posted on this thread. :scared1: I will probably be at the pool more often than the beach. ;)

I know you will. This is not a VB issue, it is an Ocean issue. Different world, hidden critters. Still, you are in much more danger during the drive over to VB. Hard to quantify that, but it is very true.

I've been been going to VB regularly since 1999. Many times I am the only one out in the surf (I tolerate cold better than most). Sometimes I get this uneasy feeling when I'm alone and that far out. If my fear gets the best of me I move in closer.

Fear is a funny thing. Sometimes, it is good and keeps you from putting yourself in a bad situation. Sometimes, it consumes you and prevents you from experiencing wonderful things. You have to try to put it into the proper perspective and you can only do that with knowledge.

Imagine if every entrance to a highway had a sign that said said "Warning... In the last 3 years X number of people have died and X number of people have been injured on this road... Enter at your own risk".

Enjoy yourself at VB and test the waters. Don't go beyond what your fear says not to, but don't let your fear get away from you either.

Have a great time my friend. :beach:

:worship: Thank you my dear Dis friend. For a moment I felt like I was in Jedi training. :rotfl: I will test the waters..I promise....despite the SIGN warning me that I will probably be stung by jelly fish, eaten by sharks and swept away by insane currents to another island or worse.... OUT TO SEA. :scared1: Oh wait..there I go again letting my imagination get the best of me.
;)

ONE day for us! Waiting for the next 10 minutes to pass by so I can do the check-in bit with southwest!

Can't wait to see the Main Street Electrical Light Parade :cool1: Haven't seen it since I was a kid. If it's a good as I recall there should be tears falling which I'll of course blame on my allergies. :rotfl:

Yep. Although we are flying this time since we are only staying 5 nights. We usually drive. I'm actually looking forward to getting there in 2-1/2 hrs. instead of the 18 hr drive. Have fun driving. It definitely is an adventure.

YES luv flying for that very reason. However for some ODD reason our kids, dd19, ds16 and ds 11 want to road trip. Plus we are going to Vero for 4 nights so it will be nice to have the van. The last time we drove was in 2002 and we stopped in GA I think. So this shall be an adventure for sure....... We are not stopping overnight.
