Jim - just read your post about taking your grandson for his first trip. I know you will have such a wonderful time and make great memories even though he is so young. I had to do a lot of convincing to get my sister to bring my youngest niece on our trip this past August. She was about one and a half too. My sister was afraid she wouldn't remember it. Well believe it or not she has not stopped "talking" about Mickey for the past two months. My sister just asked me the other day why I brainwashed her daughter (lol). Whenever she comes over my house she starts looking for Mickey (like I keep him in a closet), she goes straight to my bedroom and finds my PalMickey so she can squeeze his tummy or hands and make him talk and whenever a Disney commercial comes on TV she is jumping up and down shouting Mic-Mouse, Mic-Mouse. It is so cute. When we were looking at pics from the trip a few weeks ago, and ran across a few from It's a Small World (she actually tried to hum the tune - we rode that one over and over and over again).
She may not remember the trip 5 years from now but we are amazed at how much she does remember!
