Quick question!

I'm sailing as a single dad in July and would love to have the opportunity to experience Palo's. Will DCL look to accomodate a single person with other singles? I'd hate to be at a table with couples and I would perfer to not dine alone.

Thanks for the responses.....

What a great way to meet other single
guest onboard!

I think you can just go to Palo's and
ask if they have a table available of
other singles onboard.

Or who knows, you might meet someone
and have your reservation ready to go.

Suggestion, the night at Parrot , try for
Palo's. JMO

Have a great trip and let us know how
it worked out.

Palo will attempt to meet your request. They will not seat you with couples (it is assumed that couples want to dine alone). On my last cruise, I was at Palo twice. Once, I was a single seated alone. The serving staff made my night great! The second time, I called the day that I wanted the ressie and asked if there were any openings. I was told that I could come IF I was willing to share a table with "a nice lady" who had asked for a companion if possible (I'm female also, if that matters). So, that time, we dined together.

I'd do it again either way. Don't skip Palo just because you're single.

You might even meet tablemates at your regular dinner who you can join for dinner at Palo. Even though we are a couple, hubby and I enjoy dining with others. We have also joined up with a single we met here in DIS for dinner at Palo. But even if you can't find anyone, please don't hesitate to dine there alone. They will make you feel very welcome, and the food is not to be missed!

Thanks, MB2456 for asking a question that was on my mind, also. I am a single mom travelling in July, also. A 3 nite cruise. I was wondering if I would feel out of place dining alone. Glad to know that I am not the only one out there.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm going with a friend and I'm not sure she'll want to do Palo, so I may try it alone.
Thanks!

Check the cruise meet for your sailing date. On our Magic cruise in May several of the folks made arrangements to meet for Brunch at Palos. It gave some of the ones traveling single a chance to be with friends. Almost all the folks on our cruise meet thread met on embarcation day for a Dis Meet to get to know each other. I think we had about 30 at the meet.

That's a great idea. I did check the cruise meet board and there isn't a lot of people cruising from here so far :(
