Since when is Port Orleans French Quarter so expensive?

We're going down to Disney 9-3/9-9, and staying at the Poly, but we are flying down on 9/2 and need a place for the night.

I was hoping to get a decent AP rate for POFQ, but this is what shows up.

Since when is POFQ nearly 400$ a night?

I just tried it and it came up $196 with Enchanted.

I pulled up the exact same night and "enchanted" offer, and it shows a river view for $196.80/night.

Something is wonky with the AP rates. I just checked the website and for 9/2 I am getting a rack rate for Standard View of $227.

I think folks on here are saying AP Discounts are out but you have to call right now, not online.

Maybe system being down tomorrow will fix that.

I just tried for AP Enchanted and yeah I got the CRAZY numbers. Kinda backs up folks saying you have to call in.

I just added it to my cart and for some reason it included the Disney Dining Plan for us for that 1 night, thus making it 370$ for the night. There's no way to remove the dining plan when you go to edit it. For some reason the AP Room Only Discount for me is forcing the Dining plan for POFQ.

Except the AP discount shows up correctly for other resorts. POFQ is the only one where it's so out of whack.

My friend with an AP was looking for rooms this fall. The price for a value with the AP discount (around $110) was higher than the public discount (around $80).

I never had POFQ show up under the summer AP discounts, only Standard rates. If I was 100% sure I wanted it I would book through a site like Orbitz with a coupon...Except today, because Disney is down the other sites can't reserve either.

I just figure they're increasing resort prices so the have a little extra money to upgrade their abysmal IT dept.

The Disney site is up and running for booking. I was just in there and the message is gone also.

LOL Their IT Dept is mainly H-1B visa holders, which is as cheap a workforce as you can get.
