Since '05, cheapest AAA/regular code rate for Contemporary?

We are planning a short trip to WDW for some pre-Disney cruise fun in 2008. May 9, 2008 we will fly in and stay at a cheap hotel, May 10 we will spend at Magic Kingdom, and the next morning we will drive to Canaveral for our cruise. We usually stay at WDW's moderate or budgets, but since we only have one day at Magic Kingdom and MUST take a mid-day break, we are tempted to splurge on Saturday night at the Contemporary to put us close to the park and in the thick of the magic

I know that often room-only codes are released for when we will be at WDW. I was curious, however, what is the best discount we can hope for. Is anyone willing to share their best AAA or Room-only rate price for the lower end rooms of the Contemporary (i.e. not Florida, AP rates or Concierge <--- I wish!) in the past 2 years?

pretty sure the really great discounts for the CR are gone.

the north wing is gone - and what is going up is a big discussion on the DVC boards - rumor a new DVC building or MK Cont Suites.

your guess is as good as anyone. some of us don't think Disney has made up its mind. If DVC gets it for a high price or they made it into deluxe suites for the CR.

the excess inventory was in the wings. with only one wing - south wing - the CR is not having any problems kepting it filled.

besides your dates include the rehab - before the rehab it was a bargin - after the rehab not so much.

I would say 20% to 30% off - unless you get lucky and get one of those discount cards for 40%.

Thanks! Guess I should have taken my TA up on the CR discount last when we were there in 2005, now I doubt we'll ever get to stay there

well if the new addition is a DVC resort. in a few years you might be able to rent points and stay there.
