Hoped it would not happen but it has. Simpsons ride is taking over from BTTF. Will open Spring 2008, deal also includes costumed characters.
The ride will use the 80-foot-tall movie screens and motion-simulation vehicles from Back to the Future: The Ride, to give visitors a virtual-reality trip through a cartoon theme park called "Krusty Land"
Full report here, includes talk of Harry Potter tie up also.

Sounds a bit like a wilder version of Jimmy Neutron ride to me.

I guess with the Simpsons movie coming out the "profile" of the Simpsons will be raised in lots of ways (although Spring 08 is late for the ride of a movie coming out summer 07). If you're not a fan I guess you may have to prepare yourself for lots of "Simpsonsifications" at Universal.

Thanks for the link, wasn't a big suprise but good to get the official line, I'm sure I will have a nosey after it opens, I predict 60 minute wait time min:rolleyes1

Lets hope it has single riders line. I have a 20 min max wait for any ride.
Rode Mummy 3 times last week 70 min line:scared1: Myself and DS did single riders, straight on each time and got sat together twice out of the 3 rides.
Did same again on Men In Black, DW also rode this with us, got to front and the lady trasferred us to Express line as no-one was in it. so all sat together again:cool1:

I love the Simpsons but hate simulators :confused3

I love simulators and never got into the Simpson's (hate would have been a bit strong though).

Same here never watched more than a few minutes of it.

I just saw pic of Curious George in your post Johnny. We spend so much time in there, last week we did it twice, 2.5 hours then 2 hours. DW gets bored waiting for me and DS when we get in there.
