I've been admitted for hospital bed rest monitoring due to a hypertensive emergency/spike this morning. So far they can't seem to get my bp down where they want it to be, but feel it isn't high enough for an emergency c section yet. I'm 25 weeks, 6 days, so if these babies can hang on a little while longer it'd be great.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious daughter and what your BIL is going through. I cannot even imagine what you are going through with the losses you are suffering and a twin pregnancy. I know it is not easy, but take care of yourself and those sweet little girls inside of you just like you are doing! Pray for calming of your mind and body. I am praying for you to keep those babies in longer, but I have a friend that had identical boys at 26 weeks and they are awesome, healthy, smart 7.5 year olds now.

This is such good advice.

Your life is way out of your control right now and your stress level is maxed out. Try to find a way to find some peace in all of this. See if you can get a Yoga instructor to come to you and help you find a safe level of relaxation. You need to find that place mentally and physically.

Ask your pastor to come and pray with you and ask friends to add you to their prayer circles. Give your worry over to the Lord and ask him to carry it for you.

Go beyond the nutrition that most people recommend and up your protein intake to as close to 150 - 200 Grams of complete protein every day. The stress you are experiencing is robbing you and your girls of needed nutrients.

Well, the girls came on March 9th, 2012, at 29 weeks, 2 days. Alanna Grace was born weighing 1 pound 6 ounces, and was 13.46 inches long. Ena Hope, her big sister was 2 pounds 9 ounces and 15.6 inches long. Both girls were on vents and IV nutrition at birth. Ena Hope suffered a grade III brain bleed three days after birth, which we have been told could lead to her having cerebral palsy. She has now moved to being on a Cpap machine and tolerating breast milk via a NG tube. Alanna has had a temporary repair of her most major heart defects and is receiving meds to keep her PDA open until the permanent repair takes place. She also has had 1 cardiac catherization as well. She remains on the vent and IV nutrition. Both girls are also jaundiced and anemic and face long roads, but we know their sweet uncle and beautiful older sister are their guardian angels.

My prayers are with your darling babies and your family. They will have good days, better days and some tough days but blessed with many Angeles to surround them.
I lost my daughter 5 years ago, she had suffered many years with chronic pain as a child to young adult. A medication failed, recalled caused and over dose. There is nothing that takes that pain away.
But I have my family that needs me, so I hide my tears. I tried and did take Lexapro for two years.

I know that making new memories for my children is needed, but can't figure out how I am allowed to grieve. I read the forum, plan experiences for my family, cry inside, and cry out loud.

Keeping busy and not sitting in silence helps, but a tall order. As you see now that you will be so busy with the babies. We are all going to be here for you. I only made it through the litigation over my daughters death by having the friends without faces on the DIS forum.
