I think that is the name of it!

At AKL they have the activity room for the kids and last year DS wasn't old enough to attend but this year he will be well over 4 (4 1/2 but whose counting:p ) and I wanted to know what there is to do for the kidss. Does anyone have any experience with using it?

Does it cost? if so how much?
Can you leave the property if they are there (for dinner or something)?
How do they contact you if there is a problem?

any other useful information anyone might have!!

I have books upon books to read and research but I would like first hand accounts and what my fellow disers thought about it!

TIA,
tara

My kids loved Simba's!!! We practically had to drag them out of there. Yes, it does cost-if I remember correctly something like $10 an hour maybe a little more. Well worth it if you'd like a night out. If they need you, they will page you with the pager they give you. Yes, you can leave the property.

They feed the kids, do crafts with them, watch a movie, they have all kinds of games and toys. My son was 5, and really enjoyed himself.

Hope this helps.

My DD loved it too (6-7 when she went - she's been a few times) She *loves* it there. She also likes the Neverland Club over at the Polynesian, if you're heading over there.

You can leave AKL with your pager, but from what I understand, you're not supposed to leave WDW property.

I also have a hard time dragging her out of there... :yo-yo:

YIKES, I should have been more clear on that one. You can not leave WDW property-but you can go anywhere in the "world". Sorry!

Too bad we couldn't leave town, huh? heheee...

Sorry. Bad mommy took over my keyboard.

My DD has also stayed there and really had a great time! She'll be going back when we have dinner at Bomas in July!

I'm pretty sure it was $10/hour - and it included dinner (my DD picked hotdog, ff, & chocolate milk).

She had a great time and loved coloring with markers!! (There were some games to play, Disney movies playing on tv, an area with dolls, beds and stuff for little girls, video type games, etc) The two ladies that were watching the children were so nice.

She also tried the Cub's Den at Wilderness Lodge, while DH & I ate at Artist Point. She had a great time there too!

Both times, we never left the hotel - we just went for dinner and Allison was looking to play.

It never occured to me that you could use one of the other property's kid zones while you dined there!!

Its funny but I actually didn't think beyond "the world" when you said you could leave property. But I think when you have **those** days you are tempted!! heheh

Thanks for the input. My son loves to socialize with other children and loves being able to be away from mom sometimes. I will have the infant with us, but I'm not too worried about taking him with us and I can always set up a sitter for him.

Thanks! I knew the DIS folks could give me some great information!!
