Does anyone know if the magical wishes have to be used for whom they were bought? I'm sure technically they would but could we (adults) "borrow" some of our kids wishes? I can't seem to get an answer.. I just think I like the idea of the plan, but my 3yo would always order a kids meal and could I just pay for that? And say maybe I could get an extra massage or something like that?

all I know is that a CM at CRO told me a few days ago that the wishes are put on your room card and the card gets swiped where ever you are redeeming a wish.

I'm pretty sure all the wishes are on the cards - it doesn't matter who uses it.

Also a friend (who's a travel agent specializing in Disney) had told me that when on the Silver Plan - if anyone in the party doesn't want to REALLY order a lot of food - then definately BUY theirs (ie - the little kids)

They actually had to work at using up their wishes at the end of the week and used them on merchandise. He said at the first part of the week they tried to use 2 meals a day - but that was WAY too much food.

We'd thought about it - but I think for the money - and the fact that 3 of us are on WeightWatchers - it didn't sound like a very good value for us:rolleyes:

Have a blast!!!

It does all tie to the room card. If it's you and your 2 kids in the room for 5 nights, you would get a total of 30 wishes.... doesn't matter who uses them or when. I found that out on our last trip. It was nice that I was able to borrow a few of my DH's wishes for a pedicure ;)

Thanks for the replies. I kinda thought we could borrow from the kids;)

***updated to add, the other responses weren't showing up when I first replied to this-so I guess your question has been answered more than once.***

To answer your question, the "wish" options can be used for adult meals, even if it is on the child's card. It is 2 per person per night, so it is basically in a "pool" of wishes. So if you have 3 people traveling for 4 nights you will have a total of 24 "wishes" to use--no matter how you use them or on which days. The most economical way to use them is for adult meals, or dinner shows, or even if you see some of the merchandise offers that are rather expensive to buy. I would NEVER use up a wish on a child's meal.

Hope that helps.

I bought the silver plan too....this will be the first time we are using one. I made sure to make p/s for all the 2 wish restaurants so we use them all. It's kinda neat not having to spend "real" money on dinners!

I have a question tho - we are there 5days/4nights (2 people) if wishes are per room does that mean we get 10 wishes (5 days) or 8 wishes (4 nights). In other words are the wishes per the days or the nights stayed???

I was just talking to a dining CM today and she said that you cannot use a child's wish for an adult meal. She said it was because the kid's plans cost less than an adults. But it looks like people have been able to do this. Has anyone been told they cannot?

gonga-

It's 2 per person per night, I'm pretty sure, which would give you 16 wishes...

While we discovered it is true that you cannot use children's wishes for adult meals, you can use them for other things.

We paid for each of my DD meals. Her wishes were then used to rent a boat, get lanyards with trading pins, get some cool photos done at MGM, and other such "merchandise" things.

Because we planned things our really well we feel that we really got our money out of the wishes.

I saw this posting and would like to investigate whether doing a plan makes more sense than paying for meals separately. What all do the plans include and how much are they?
