Silver Plan - Preferred Viewing - Illuminations

Wooo hooo!!! 79 days to go and I'm heavily into my planning.

We're staying Poly Concierge, so I called WDW-DINE and made my PS's for the HDD and Poly Luau, now I'm going to email Aida and have concierge handle the rest for me.

I'm stuck though and need a little guidance. Here's my scenario...

DH will be golfing Tuesday AM, we will head to Epcot around 1:30 that afternoon. We're doing LeCellier for dinner and then viewing Illuminations from the "Silver Plan Preferred Viewing Location"

Two questions...

1. Do you think 6PM is a good time for dinner??? . . . and . . .

2. Where is the "preferred viewing location"?

Any help would be oh so appreciated!!!!

I don't remember which country it is in front of, but it is located on the far side of the lagoon on the American side. I think near Morocco. Hope that helps.

Also purchasing the silver package and havent received my info from Disney yet. Is the preferred viewing location reserved for Silver packages only? Any information would be helpful.

Preferred viewing for Illuminations is on the boat dock in front of Morocco. I know preferred viewing comes with Silver and Gold packages (we did one of each), and I'd imagine the Platinum, but other than that I'm not sure. You have to call at least 24 hours in advance, and you will receive vouchers with your other info. from Disney. The viewing area is roped off, and a CM will take your names and vouchers and let you through - no place to sit or anything however. We used our vouchers for Illuminations and Wishes - Wishes' spot is near the Plaza restaurant on the patio with the tables, so you'll get a seat. HTH

Actually my travel agent with Dreams Unlimited will call 45 days out to secure our preferred viewing ressies.

The location is at the boat dock by Morocco and I have to say that I would prefer not to view it from there. I just think that seeing Illuminations from there is a let down once you've seen it from the UK/Canada side fo the pavillion. It looks like two totally different shows.

I have to agree, this was a huge disappointment to us. It is not the greatest area to view from. The night we did it the area was packed too and we really had bad views within the area due to the large number of people doing it.
