I did call yesterday to ask for membership cards and I was denied. CM told me I have to wait to see if they come in the mail.

Isn't that ridiculous?

And I was just got back from a week at WDW. They can't/won't print a card for you (any longer). Has there been a problem with fraud or something? Are DVCers getting extras and giving them out to friends for perks?!!! (I hope I am being facetious!)

Ours still haven't arrived.

Just us - no physical Membership Card? DVC dues credit card challenge. You NEED that card for discounts, and you PAID for this - MB's won't cut it, as the MDE computer system fails on a regular basis.

We have been lucky - we HAVE physical DVC Membership Cards. Three months LATE, per DVCs December announcement.

In the event you do not.... consider carrying DVC Receipt photo captures on your cell phones, along with the weenie "Digital" Card image. Those same phones can launch a CC challenge the moment service is denied for funds paid, having presented evidence of DVC membership. WDW's choice.

All personal opinion - others may disagree - just what WE are going to do - not replying to quoted posts.

I wrote MS 2 weeks ago because we have an upcoming trip and haven't received the cards yet. Still haven't received a response.

I can pint mine but my husbands name doesn't show. I didn't want to create an account for him just to print the cards but I guess I might have to do that.

It is irritating that they are making us use cards that they didn't send us. We should be able to use the old cards if we don't receive the new ones by the time we leave.

This may not hold true in all instances, but when I went to Wolfgang Puck Express earlier this week, I asked if they still gave the DVC discount. They do. So I proceeded to tell the man taking my order that "I only have my old card and the paper one I printed online". He was fully aware of the late cards issue and gave me the discount without even looking at my cards!

I felt validated!

Fingers crossed we ALL have our cards before the end of March! If you don't receive them before your trip, I would suggest you print the digital card from your account (it has a 4/18 expiration); then stop by one of the DVC kiosks at a resort and ask them for some type of "temporary" card for your husband, who does not have an online account.

I'm confident DVC is aware of this debacle; nonetheless, any of us affected should email DVC. Maybe next time, they'll do it right the first time!

Ok so I left up north for FL before I got my DVC card and now in Fl. going to Disney next week will I be able to use old card. or do I have to try and print a new one. Actually on second thought How much do I use it ? Other cards give you mostly the same or better discounts

the digital card from your account (it has a 4/18 expiration);

The digital card seems to be another ongoing option for identification and has a rolling expiration date. If you opened it to show someone today it would have an expiration 3 months from now or 6/13/16.

If you have an AP you get most or maybe all the same discounts. Otherwise if you have a smart phone you can open up the digital card if they aren't accepting your old card.

We used an old card to turn in DH's AP voucher. CM never said anything about it

Still nothing here yet either. I looked at printing them online but they only showed one for ME and not for DH. We don't go again until June tho so I guess there's still time for this mailing mess to get sorted out. But this is just stoooopid.

Received this mailing today. It contained 2 membership cards each for both husband and myself as we have two different membership numbers. Cards expire in 2021.

finally came today to Pittsburgh! 2 sets to be exact. didn't realize each contract would get it's own set of cards.

now wondering if i have to drag along the correct set each trip? would be a bit of a pain, typically keep the cards in vacation lanyard/folder.

It doesn't matter which one - there's no requirement to even be staying onsite to use the store or restaurant discounts. I keep one contract card one location and the second another so I have a good chance to always have one along. You should have always had a card for each membership - strange that you didn't.

thanks, we may have. noticed last trip we had several different cards in big travel folder that stays home, ranging from the old dark blue to a light blue, now this medium blue colored one. Probably should shred the old ones or risk bringing the wrong one along for the ride.

I actually had a two for one of our contracts so had 3 spread out. It was nice. But there's the digital card now so I guess it's all covered even if I did forget to bring one.

We were lucky enough to get our cards in the mail a few weeks ago, but won't have a need to use them until next year.. :'( too long between trips. So the old ones are scrap now? Just want to make sure before we shred them.

I guess things like this really do not bother me. Unless I had to have the card for a trip, I wouldn't give it a thought about when they arrive.
