Silly Ziploc Question...

So I'm going to try the outfit in a ziploc bag packing strategy for our disney trip - we leave in a week! Everyone talks about 1 gallon or 2 gallon bags - but none of our bags up here are labeled that way - they're all in metric. Any idea what size of bag is a 1 gallon bag? Thanks!

1 gallon is 3.78L
1 quart is almost a litre

Zellers sells jumbo reclosable seal storage bags. Make is : Truly home. They are very large bags. 33 X 39.6 cm. The box contains 12. I am not sure how much they are. I purchased mine back in September. They fit my sons outfit for the day with no problems. My son is a size 10/12.

Many people pack using ziploc bags. One bag per person per day etc. In the bag you put an entire outfit from underwear to hair clips. That way you can just throw a bag at your child and have them dress while you get ready. Saves time trying to sort out clothes every morning. The ziploc bags also make packing easier. The clothing is compact and neat. It is also easy if for some reason your suitcase has to be opened at secruity.

They only thing you have to watch is your weight limit per suitcase when flying. You can fit so much more so it is easier to go over your weight.

i buy the little net looking lingere laundry bags from the $1 store. they are 2 for $1. zip up and you can fit lots in them!

I am not sure why it would be a problem. It is easier to sort and look through the contents of the suitcase. You also don't have stangers touching your underwear.

Quick side note: Disney park security loves mesh bags. We use the dollar store mesh bags to carry all of our park items and security was a breeze. I would stick my fanny pack and camera bag inside the mesh bag and they wouldn't bother searching ever little compartment in them. When I would wear my fanny pack, they would make me take it off and they wanted to look in every single zipper compartment.
