It is at the beginning, right after you leave the load area you go into a tunnel with flashing blue lights. At the end of that tunnel you make either a sharp right or a sharp left depending on which side you loaded on, the camera will be along the inside of that turn, there are two bright flashes, turn your face towards the screen on the inside of the turn and you've got it!
If I'm remembering correctly, when the train leaves the station it turns a corner and goes into a tunnel. I think the camera is at the end of that tunnel. It's definitely before the lift hill though.
I believe you face toward the curve (if you are turning toward the right, face right. if turning to the left, face left). As to why. . . I imagine something to do with required lighting, the track route, safety, etc. I am sure a whole committee gave input.
If you're all the way in the building and facing the loading areas, the loading area on the left will have the camera on the right, and the one on the right has the camera on the left. Wanna know how I learned this? My entire life I loaded on the left side...I loaded right side this past trip for the first time ever and this is what happened! I still crack up every time I see it!
We have Awesome pics each year (yes I am the guy making a weird face....)
Its at the end of the light tunnel on the side it turns.....inside of the track, about eye level.....Just keep aware of which way you will turn into the mountain....
