Is it safe to do Toy Story Mania shortly after dinner? Or will we be calling for a clean up on aisle 2? :lmao: (I know Star Tours isn't a good idea). I'm messing around with my Fastpass times.

I think you'd be just fine. :thumbsup2

The day before our HS day, I had a bad stomach flu. Still went on TS mania (I.e.stomach still quest) and I was still fine. So don't see any issues going after a meal. It just spins a bit as it goes around a corner to get you to your next spot for shooting.

Toy Story has whirling around that makes your head/shoulders sway back and forth.....honestly, if Star Tours makes you throw up too close to a meal time, I'd also avoid Toy Story.

Thanks... After I posted, I was actually able to change everything so all the rides are before dinner.

Hopefully it doesn't spin too much. I can't handle spinning rides. But if it's similar to Buzzlightyear, I'll be ok.

It spins faster than Buzz....and THE RIDE does the spinning, so you don't control it and because you're busy firing at your targets you don't realize it's going to spin you.

I don't think I would ride it if I had trouble with spinning rides- it has the quickest and most violent spins of any ride at Disney and as a PP mentioned you don't even realize it is about to happen as you are shooting and then a sudden spin.

Some girl threw up in the country bear jamboree and "just ate" so I'm not too sure anymore lol.

You'll be fine it's not a shake spin and rattle ride at all...you'll be a ok

Personally I feel more affected on an empty stomach than a full one - providing it's not a big huge meal kind of full. I'm the type that goes on anything though.

My husband gets very queasy on spinning rides, but hasn't had a problem on TSM.

Basically, you are facing one way, the ride whirls you around to face the other way, all the while going around a bend. I don't think it happens a lot. Just a couple of times.

My teenage daughter can't ride spinning rides - Teacups, Astro Orbiter, Primeval Whirl all make her extremely nauseous and dizzy, to the point where she'll have to go back to the hotel for the rest of the day. She's never had a problem on TSMM because it's not a continual spinning motion. You go from one screen to another and turn to face it, but you don't keep spinning. Of course, it all depends on the type of spinning that bothers you.

I never had a problem with spinning rides until I got pregnant with DD#3. For a few years after she was born, I couldn't even go on a carousel without getting dizzy and a migraine. It's gotten better over the years (she's 13 now) but I still avoid rides like the teacups and primeval hurl that are constantly spinning.

I think I'll be ok on this one and if not, it's the last ride we're doing of the day. The rest of the evening is dinner, Osborne Lights AND Fantasmic, so I'll have plenty of recovery time.

That and when I first posted the question, I had us doing it directly after dinner and I was a bit concerned it was like going on the teacups and that would be bad.....:sick:

I can't do spinning rides but had no problem at all with TSMM. I think you should be fine!

I can't do spinning rides...even looking at the Teacups makes me queasy, and I've never ridden the carousel. I can do TSMM without feeling bad usually, but I have been queasy after riding it a couple of times. My motion sickness has gotten better in the last couple of years (I attribute it to flying more for my job, because nothing else has changed) but on our first couple trips to Disney in 2011 and 2012, I can clearly remember feeling yucky after the ride.
