Silly Question

I say it after a pirate game not because I want someone to think I feel bad that my opponent lost, but moreso just as a sort of "hand shake" after a match. For example, at the end of a tennis game, players will meet at the net and shake. To me, this is "gg" back on the pirate dock. Also, to my teammates it's sort of a "high five!" after a good game. I think it's just good etiquette.

I think you have said described it perfectly how most of us use "gg" couldn't have said it better myself :thumbsup2
I do use it for all the players in my game room (Rygo's Race to Pirate Treasure) at the end of a game, but other then that, never use it or see it outside a mini game or other game room.

Yeah, that is one that bugs me too! I think it is a smart-aleck way of saying "okay" - you know what I mean?
Like the person is doing this at you ----------> or this -----------> :rolleyes1

My personal favorite is ending every sentence with "lol" like it is a period.
Unfortunately, since we are limited in how we talk, I can see a whole generation learning how to speak "VMK". Especially all the kids who are learning how to read, spell and type, mostly in VMK. I know a few kids who this is their first trip into the world of the internet and they now end all their sentences in emails with "lol" and the mails are full of "vmk talk" using "on" instead of "one" saying "ear" instead of year, etc.
