If you have
AAA, you have an advantage, you can get discounts that way pretty often.
Codes are sometimes on the disney world website- look under special offers. They offer significantly reduced rates and often enable folks to be able to upgrade from their existing reservation (or in my case be able to afford to go at all)
They aren't always around and go fairly quickly as there is only a certain amount of rooms available at this rate.
You need to call the central reservation office with code in hand (they wont tell you they exist) Think of them as hidden mickey's. Mousesavers is not the only website that posts codes. do a search on here for "codes" and you will get all the discussion threads that talk about codes, when they are rumored to come out and what they are.
I just recently asked a similar question- so expect to learn fast.
If you do not have a reservation yet (and you are planning to go before mid July) then the code rumored to come out on Tues will be of use to you. Have the dates and resort you want to go to ready so you can call and book quickly.
If you do that search, you will find what the new code is rumored to be.
Codes can also come from Newspapers in your area, or post cards randomly mailed to different areas of the country. Post card codes are not allowed to be posted on the boards here and they typcially only apply to the individual who received.
It could save you $55 off a moderate, $30 off a value, etc, or maybe its a 7 day trip for the price of 4 nights, or perhaps its a discount on a package.
Disney Visa card holders are also sent codes, so you may want to sign up for that, but beware, the APR is quite high after the first 6 mos.
I hope that helps!!
