Silly question from a facebook ignorant person

How do I get rid of pictures on my page that someone else tagged? I have a bunch of photos my niece took at a birthday party, and want to get rid of one (nothing bad, but I have a beer in my hand, and really don't want to look like I am a party animal on my G rated facebook page). It was really nice of her to let me have them, and I'll keep most.

In your privacy settings select 'only you' beside -Who can view pictures you are tagged- or something like that. If these pictures are on her page they will see be available for her and her friends (or however she has her settings to see pictures) but your friends that aren't friends of her won't be able to see them.

You can also just ask her to take the one you don't want seen down. She should understand.

Not a silly question at all!

Just go to the page for the photo (you might have to click on it), find your name and there should be a "remove tag" link. Click on that and you will no longer be tagged in the photo therefore it will not link to your page.

Thank you so much! I just removed the tag from 2 of them - I didn't want to change the privacy settings, because I never have a camera with me, and I have a lot of tagged photos of my children I want to keep visable.

Just want to make sure you know that the picutre is still out on Facebook, you just are not tagged in the picture. (This is what I usually do for pictures that I would prefer that not everyone see.)
