do you carry an everyday purse with you on the ship?

I'm new with DCL....on previous non-DCL cruises, I usually carry a small crossbody bag to hold my camera, kids club phone and room key.

Do I need something bigger? should I be carrying around my kids' autograph books? or anything else that I may be missing?

What do you carry?

Last cruise I had a small bag that held lipstick, KTTW cards, autograph book, pen and kids club phone and also my camera bag. After I realized DS wasn't interested in meet and greets, I dumped the purse and just carried the camera bag!

I carry around a small bag--with our autograph book, camera, hats, sunscreen, Kindles. Even our phones with earbuds if we're going to listen to music while we sit out.

I can't speak to the autograph part of your question, since I have never gone on a Disney cruise. I never carried a purse when around the ship (I have gone on 5 cruises, just none of them were Disney). I always had my camera, ID, phone and the card the cruiseline gives you (for your room and room charges). I always went back to my room if I needed anything else. If I were going to the pool for the day when at sea, I had my bag with whatever I needed for the pool (sunscreen, etc...).

I didn't on my first cruise. Had the KTTW in my lanyard and that was it. Last cruise i wound up toting the CC bag that was our gift everywhere during the day, though I only threw my kindle, a camera and the remote for my cochlear implant inside. For my next cruise I'd like to find something in between that will carry all that. Its not much, but could use something.

DH carries the camera in his pocket. We read on the verandah, so no need to carry a book with us.

Didn't carry the kindle the whole time. Mostly just when going to the pools. We spend more time reading on deck, and we like the inside cabins so unless DCL upgrades us for free no verandah for us.

I'd really like to go back to being the lanyard person I was on my first cruise. But unless I have pockets, which I didn't a lot of the time last cruise, then I need a little something to carry with me.

For pool time I carried a backpack for Kindle, cameras, sunscreen, and cover-up. Other times I just carried my small camera bag and for dinner I have a small metal purse the size of a pop can for my KTTW and a chap stick or I have a small black purse that is just big enough to hold my camera. All my travel purses must double as a camera bag.

I have a Keen shoulder bag that I'll be carrying with me on our cruise in August. I've been carrying it around this past week and it is working out really well. It carries my essentials as well as having room for my son's epi-pens and my daughter's inhaler. Plus I'll be able to stick in an autograph book without the bag looking stuffed.

I carry a purse large enough to hold 4 Epipens (my daughter's and mine), an inhaler and spacer, and a book.

::yes::

I have a big camera so usually have my camera case with me, but other than that I am good with very small cross-body bag.

I don't do a purse on the ship. Just my lanyard with id and camera tucked into pocket. If we go to the pool I take a pool bag with books and whatever but that's it.

I never carried a purse. I usually used either my lanyard or a pocket for my KTTW card, and that was it. If I was wearing something without pockets and didn't want the lanyard (formal night pictures, or whenever I was more dressed up) I made, I mean requested, DH carry it. :thumbsup2

Of course, I'm not the photographer and have no kids, so my requirements may also be a bit less than others...

On the ship I typically just wear a lanyard with my KTTW card and I carry my camera in it's case around my neck (it's a small point and shoot with a very small case). No need to carry anything else. When we go to the pool I carry I beach bag to hold water bottles, sunscreen, my book, and anything else the kids might need.

On port days and embarkation/disembarkation I carry a small crossbody purse that holds wallet, passports and phone--just the basics when we're on vacation!

I plan to carry a small shoulder bag with our camera, autograph book, epi pens, and KTTW cards
