I have read that the "rules" to the dining plans are that there is no sharing of the food. But, if I buy CS meal and cannot eat the dessert, why can I not give it to someone else? Technically I did pay for it and it is "mine" and if I choose to throw it in the garbage or give it to a stranger, it should be my choice, right?

Why or why not?

I understand the whole idea is not to find loop holes to "cheat" the process... but I also can't bring myself to waste food (free or cheap or whatever). :confused3

Once you buy it, you can do anything you want with it :)

This rule applies to when you are dining with people who are not on the dining plan-so Disney doesn't get cheated out of them paying for a dessert. I truly wonder if it's even been enforced.

I know it probably isn't enforced, but even if it's frowned upon, it shouldn't be (In my opinion). I mean, the dessert was paid for by the DDP guest. Who cares who's belly it goes in.

I can definitely understand buffets though...

share your cs, don't expect to share your ts

no point throwing food out..be hard for them to police that one
