Silly question about trash and towel day

I know that we get "Trash & Towel" Day on the 4th day of stays less than 8 nights. So, if I check in on a Thursday, T & T day would be Sunday, is this right? Or do they count days as nights--by that I mean you get T & T day after you have spent 4 nights in the room?

In a studio, how many bath towels are in the room when you check in? Trying to plan my first "trip home" Thanks for the help.

If you check in on Thursday T&T will be Sunday. You get 4 bathtowels in a studio.

Towels in a studio ... this is one of my pet peeves ... it has been our experiencein OKS studios that we have had four bath towels, four wash clothes, but only TWO hand towels. If you have more than two guests, especially ones that are not related or married, then I don't like sharing a towel with someone else . Like I said this is my pet peeve & I have mentioned it to CMs. Another pet peeve is that DIsney in general does not use fitted bottom sheets . Oh well ... I cannnot have everything!

How many towels does a 2-bedroom villa get? Also, since I have intentions of eating majority of our meals in the villa, where can I get a kitchen inventory of utensils so I'll know what else I need to bring?

If you have your Membership Guide handy, check out page 72. It has a list of everything provided in each room of the villa. (The kitchen list is too long for me to retype here, but if you do a search, I know you will find a thread that lists the kitchen items. You'll probably find some threads about "what else do you bring" to be helpful as well. I'll post some links later if I can find them).

According to the list on page 72, each bathroom should have 4 bath towels, 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 4 bath mats. So the 2 bedroom villa will have 8 bath towels, 4 washcloths, 4 hand towels and 8 bath mats.

Judith, I agree that the units should provide enough towels (and coffee mugs/glasses) for the amount of people. Certainly, everyone should start out with their own towels.

I called MS about the number of towels in rooms as I was bringing people with me. Per MS, the guidebook has a misprint regarding the number. Each room is supposed to have the same number of towels, hand towels, and washcloths as the occupency--i.e. for studios and 1 bedrooms 4 of everything, for 2 bedrooms 8, etc. If some are missing just call housekeeping and they should bring them to your room.

DVC Eeyore, thank you for the update on the number of towels. I haven't discussed this with anyone (i.e. DVC CMs) in a couple of years, but I had in the past mentioned it to management CMs.

4 bath mats????? We have never gotten more than 1 bath mat per bathroom. Unless we did and my goofy kids used it as a towel !! LOL

LOL, Dee. Some of those mats are kind of hard to tell from the towels! Probably the 4 bathmats is a misprint, too. My actual experience at BWV matches yours - 1 bathmat per bathroom. Can't recall the number of each kind of towels, though.

I'm glad to know that the towel info in the Membership Guide was a misprint. Wonder how many (if any) more "misprints" there are.

We had 2 bathmats in our one bedroom at OKW - one for the shower and one for the tub. We had 4 of each of the towels.

Just stayed in a 2 bd at BWV. In the studio section bathroom you get 4 Bath 4 Hnd 4 WC and 1 Bathmat. In the master section by the tub you get 2 Bath 2 Hnd 2 WC and 1 Bathmat. In the shower/bathroom you get 2 Bath 2 Hnd 2 WC and 1 Bathmat.
