I assume you are refering to the candy lady from Japan. Twice we have saved it, and twice after a couple of months it has melted into a mess hardening on the shelves of the hutch. Now we just eat it.
Most people walk off with it and you don't know what they do with them! It is very hard to keep a fragile piece of candy intact during a day of touring Epcot.
We got a box from a nearby store and put it in there and managed to keep it for awhile. The candy is edible though - the Candy Lady gave some to my son to eat too.
Ours never made it out of the park. We figured we'd gotten lots of pictures, so it was time to let the kids enjoy it. It really tastes like nothing at all. Very plain and kind of, I don't know, kind of grainy or pasty.
I received a Tiger in Dec. and got it home with only the tail broke off. Glued it back on with Glue and then sprayed it with a water based Polycrylic protective finish. My DH made a base to set the stick in and then he put it under a clear glass bowl to protect it. Now it's on display.Hoping it will last a long time but if it doesn't I still have the pics of Miyuki making it and Miyuki and I with the Tiger.
We were just at Epcot last night and watched Miyuki's 6:55 show. My sister's dd got picked and she made her a pink unicorn and my ds got picked and she made him a shark.
They are edible but we personally don't eat them for sanitation reasons I have heard and read they are supposed to be yummy.
They last very well if you're careful. Last night she told us we could go in the shop behind her and get boxes for them so we did. The girl in there packaged them very well
We like to stick ours in plants ~ it looks great that way and we can enjoy them everyday. We still have ours from last year!
The kids seem to like them. Mine always eat them shortly after walking away from the stand. Of course they wait until after I have a chance to make pictures.
