silly question about picnic tables

Ok,...this question is honestly not important, more of a curious george moment than anything....

In the preferred and premium sites you get an upgraded picnic table....what the heck is an upgraded picnic table....basically newer? is it not wood like the older ones? I just thought this was a silly perk.... Trust me this does not change my decision either way, I was just curious as to what an upgraded picnic table looked like?

I have to say the new tables are very nice. They are square, with benches on all four sides. That's nice for my family of 6. They are also a hard plastic material, so are easy to clean.

Yes they are, we have saw them getting set up in the new 700 loop.

When I make it back to the fort for the 4th one might make it down to my site

The new picnic tables are very nice. They're square, with room for 8 people to sit (although probably not room for food for 8 people). They're made of some composite plastic material (think Trex decking), which is really easy to clean. Also, when it rained last week, you could just take a rag and wipe the water off and they were dry - unlike a wooden picnic table which would absorb the water and be too wet to sit on for quite a while.

My first thought was "great, I have to get a new table cloth" but these sound easy to clean off so I won't worry about that.

Unless I see a cute Disney-themed one that just happens to be square.... how can I resist?

At first when I read that it was square with benches, I started to die laughing.... I know what a picnic table is...lol! BUT then I realized you were telling me the difference between the new ones....haha....

Ok,...I just thought it had some magic powers....because upgraded picnic tables sound so "luxurious"
