Silly Parking Question for the UO experts.

What are all the names of the regular parking spaces Universal and IOA use? And, does attendance determine where they'll put you?

Example: At IOA, is the park busier when you park in Spiderman or Cat in the hat?

Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone knew all the names of the parking spaces and what they mean as far as crowds go. Thanks.

Other than the two you named there is also King Kong (still), Jurassic Park and Jaws. I'm sure there is more but those are the ones I remember from our last trip.

There are three in each garage, for a total of six, all of which have been named. And there is no corrolation between park attendance and where you park, it is pretty much random, other than being based on the time of day that you arrive.

It cannot be random. There has to be a plan. It is just that we may not know unless someone that works in parking can post the information.

There is a plan(s) to how you park, but it has many many many variables like attendance, events, time of arival, cleaning of stucture, prefered or non prefered.

Most of the time you park in the smaller garage/structure ( the one on the left when exiting citywalk)

I have no idea what system they use for parking,I know if you're there early you might end up in the bottom floor but if you show up at 4pm on a HHN night you'll end up on the top floor.Which building is used and what section appears random as some days I go in at 10 am and I end up on the northern garage,another day at the same time it's the southern garage.These are like the biggest parking garages on earth they're huge you'll have to find someone who works it to get the details.I know there must be like 24 different exits as every time it seems like a different way.

LOL So true about the different exits. I have also heard people that get upset because they get there first thing in the morning and end up parking all the way towards the end instead of parking closer.

When I say "random", i dont mean that a supervisor draws a section name out of a hat every hour. I just mean that there is no corrolation to attendance. Like someone else mentioned, there are dozens of variables that effect where one parks. Even non-UO events sometimes use the garages (golf tournaments nearby) and can effect where you end up parking. Its also based on staffing, for instance, is one toll plaza open, or are both?

Occasionally they have even been known to play around with the sections. For instance, one day, everyone with a red car was directed to the fourth level. Imagine trying to find your red car in a see of 1000 red cars. Suprisingly, everyone seemed to get a kicked out of it, rather than having been pissed.

I dont know the rime or reason.We always do preffered and sometimes valet.Bieng AP holders,its alot less walking!!

But when we do the preffered we still use the alrm que on our car to find it.But its hard when 20others are doing it at the sametime!!
