Silly DVC villa coffee maker question

OK. DH and I aren't coffee drinkers but we're bringing my mom this time and she pretty much has coffee as 50% of her blood. I don't want to take up space bring down a Keurig (even a mini) for just her so I thought I'd ask her to bring her choice of coffee and filters for the villa. Being a non-drinker, is there a certain type/size I should tell her to buy and bring? Thanks for helping the coffee-idiot.
I know there are a few lists around here of things people like to pack for their villa and the Owner's Locker which we are getting. I think I bookmarked them. Time to start thinking.

The villas have a standard sized coffee maker and the flat bottom filters work fine. By the way, the owners locker is a godsend if you travel to the world often. (i.e. more than once a year). Now that I live here not so big a deal but if I didn't I would have one whether or not I owned DVC because I come here so often. I don't even know how much it costs to have one.

You will need the 8 - 12 cup paper filters or buy one of the reusable metal ones of the same size.

And yeah, I'm excited about the OL. We can only travel once a year and possibly not even that, but it's SO worth not having the drag some of the same stuff all the time and worrying about luggage weight and all that jazz anymore. I'm excited about it!

Steph, you HAVE to let me know how BLT is! I booked at 2BR for three nights in January and am just vibrating with excitement! I have my fingers crossed for a reasonably good MK view...how good only time will tell...and our first stay anywhere other than POR.

And thanks for asking the coffee question. DH and my in-laws are all serious coffee drinkers, so I'll be toting the filters and coffee along in checked luggage.

Steph, you HAVE to let me know how BLT is! I booked at 2BR for three nights in January and am just vibrating with excitement! I have my fingers crossed for a reasonably good MK view...how good only time will tell...and our first stay anywhere other than POR.

Will do babe! MY mistake was listening to my DH when he said he didn't want to split stay this time, so I didn't make my BLT ressie until a few months past the 7 mo. window. NOW, he says it was because he was thinking of ME. Cripse! I was the one wanting to split between BLT and AKV in the first place because I (not so unselfishly ) want to get an add on there. So I don't have too long there but we're STARTING there so how much better can it get?

DH now tells me that I never listen to him anyway, so why did I start then?!?! Yeah right. I listen all too much. But we'll not go there.

I think I'm goin to ship a box down w/ the coffee and stuff in it. can you imagine what the TSA might think we're trying to ship in a can or bag of coffee? I'm not going to invite them to open my bags. They already do almost every time. I travel w/ art supplies often, so I guess I look suspicious.

I can only imagine what resin ponies might look like on the x-ray machine, assuming you take one with you occassionally. I flew with a couple clinky ponies in carryon boxes one time, for the first Breakables show in KY, and thought they were going to make me open them when I went through security - they were SO concerned about them.
