I have a compact car booked with Alamo. The website is showing this as a hatchback which I really don't care for. So my question is, are all their compact cars hatchbacks or are there others to choose from?
It will only be DH and I this trip and we really don't need a bigger car but I can get an intermediate for only $13 more, total.

I would personally spend the extra $13. Though, Alamo allows you to pick your car. So when you get to the garage you pick any car from the isle for your car class. A compact is a Nissan Versa or similar. I don't ever remember ever seeing any hatch backs though. We have never rented a compact in MCO, only intermediate or larger. Can you use an upgrade coupon to upgrade from the compact to a larger car for free?

No, they're not all hatchbacks. Depending upon when you get to the compact row, there will likely be several different cars to choose from.

However, $13 to upgrade isn't much (maybe for one day it wouldn't be worth it, but for more I'd go ahead and do it).

Thanks for the info. Our flight gets in at 11 am next Mon. The compact is costing me $213. We are going to be there 8 days so I'm going to get the intermediate for $226. This past May it was only $188. We will be meeting up with friends later in the week and if we go anywhere off-site I think I would like the extra room.

That makes sense. Don't forget to check the rates again just before you leave; sometimes they have good last minute deals (and sometimes they're a lot worse). I suspect with the Jersey folks going in next week, what you have is what you'll wind up with, but its still worth checking.
